Humphries certainly looks the goods---Sths have him listed as a hooker in their team list on their website--he's a big lump of a bloke at 97 kgs;definitely front row proportion---Murray is only 90 kgs ;as a comparison---Cleary looks like a fairly big half to me & he's 90 kgs---when Dodd finally finds his feet we have a very good player to go to hooker in Jamie--looks like we've scored a beauty in this guy !!!

All possible. But for mine, Dodd needs to earn his stripes. I don't care what his salary is - or what Humphreys' weight is. It's all muscle in any case.

I thought Pete was ok. Defensively good however didn’t ask any questions in attack maybe hindered by no forward pack dominating. Keone was impressive, junior will get better with match fitness Davey was ok, Hubner and Arrow were excellent. I also think Keppie was one of our best. Hit the line hard and does a lot of tidying up in defence. Stretch was a very welcome return and played really well. Sullivan was pretty damn average even accounting for him playing out of position. Cody super and Humphries great. Jai Gray such a brave and dangerous player,,,,,, maybe at least twice he should have passed to his outside man but overall great. A really gutsy effort. The obvious negative for me was that there was a real lack of go forward in the pack and not enough hard defence in the early second half. We are also lacking dangerous speed in the backline. Munro’s injury is a devastating blow for all.
all in all a very hard earned two points.

Cam had been playing at 90 kgs over the past few years--he really had to build up his body to survive !!

I doubt we will be undefeated by then, that's for sure but we already look like a typical Wayne Bennett side where the boys turn up for each other, position themselves well in attack and defence, employ a slide defence on our line instead of that dreadful up and in and leave nothing in the tank by full time.

I think we can still beat the Dragons next week but the Sharks and Panthers while still down on troops out wide could be a bridge too far. Even with those games, we should still hopefully keep it respectable.

I wonder if Humphreys could fill in for 1 week at centre, He is big enough and a strong defender, reasonably quick. Then you could bring in Dodd at half. That would alleviate some pressure on the backline player shortage. Remember Cooky playing in the centres Good opportunity to see how Dodd performs.
