It was disgraceful mate. Still have to be proud of the boys for almost pulling off an amazing against the odds win. AJ being the first player to get 4 against the Storm is bloody brilliant as well.
I’m so gutted too mate I’ve been sitting here back at home for the last hour and my body is numb I am absolutely shattered mate beyond words

It's tough mate, I know. I'm just so happy for AJ. Remember for years they said that record may never be broken and our guy is not only going to break it, he's going to smash it. The team is also showing that when we get our troops back we are going to be serious contenders come Finals time.

The Rabbitohs were defeated 25-24 in a golden point thriller tonight at Accor Stadium. A Ryan Papenhuyzen field goal landed the final blow.

The Bunnies went down 12-0 early but fought their way back thanks to four magnificent Alex Johnston tries and a brilliant try to Tyrone Munro.

The turning point of the game was a bewildering decision late in the second half by referee Peter Gough. Sean Keppie was stuck in the neck by a Storm player but the referee decided this was ok. The incident happened just minutes after Gough penalised Keaon Koloamatangi for a tackle that look far less damaging.

Minutes after the non awarded plenty the Storm
scored and took the lead. I don’t usually complain about refs but in this case the Rabbitohs were definitely robbed. This was a dreadful decision that swung the momentum of the game.

Souths have now lost 4 in a row and face a road trip against the Dolphins in round 17.

I think we are too far back to make the 8 mate probs be about 11th or 12th

We are 2 and 8 from our last 10 games I’m starting to forget what the joy of winning feels like! Keaon again last night ****ing enormous and he could’ve sat out with that facial injury too. I’m so proud of him mate and am not shocked what he’s doing in the middle as I’d been calling for this change for a while. I think when Murray is back Keaon going back to 60mins is the sweet spot. I don’t think this 80mins is sustainable every week. Coming off contract too we will have to pay close to a million a season for him and I think he’s worth it

BUNNIES SET TO REWARD CULT HERO WITH NEW DEAL

“South Sydney cult figure Alex Johnston will be rewarded with a new two-year deal as the champion winger edges closer to smashing Ken Irvine’s try-scoring record.

The Bunnies fan favourite was on fire against Melbourne bagging four tries and South Sydney are currently putting the finishing touches on a new deal to ensure he remains at Heffron Park.

Given Johnston has now scored 11 tries in seven NRL games this season Irvine’s record of 212 tries is every chance of being equalled or broken this season.

We’ve also heard the Bunnies won’t be letting supercoach Wayne Bennett simply stroll out the door to take up a position with Papua New Guinea in 2028.

The Bunnies love Wayne and while the seven-time premiership-winning coach wants to keep coaching they want him to remain at South Sydney.

Expect Souths to sit down with Bennett at the end of the season about a contract extension.”

What I say is this………
