The plethora of injuries are basically on Demetriou and who he hired as trainers/conditioners.
The off-season was apparently not hard enough. Mitchell on Fox Sp. just before that LV game 1 laughed when interviewed with Cook about him doing a lot of weight work. He smiled and motioned a fishing reel roll in and said "Me and Jack." Enough said. No wonder Sam B had seen enough last season he KNEW what was coming.

Can tiger's
Western suburbs magpies Reggie's
Loan a few players to the Rabbitohs
Yes, we are hoarding a few as well, as you know a player like Galvin suddenly becomes “ready for first grade” only when the unlucky Bud has a few bad games.

There’s a lot of myths about player preparedness. It’s an individual thing, sure, but Smuggy KOE would probably be beating a few of us bottom feeders if they could play the first grade.

And a handful would be walking straight into the South’s and Wests Tigers first grade side with not so much as a piece of fur out of place.

The NRL has an injury crisis at the moment and we need to declare a state of emergency and allow some cross club frolicking.

Im Ok if the borrowed player is allowed to wear a patch of his club of origin on his arm. Say 15cm by 10cm

It would be a mini-origin mate against mate when he’s selected to play against his own club. You couldn’t see anything but an amazing lift in performance as a reminder to home club that young mate is better than they think.

The main benefit would be for the young players. Very exciting for them.

And everyone loves the youngsters, after South’s, they are the pride of the league.

Spot question: who captains in Murray's absence? No so long ago it was Mitchell as our vice captain. Is he therefore an auto pick now given his discipline issues of late or can Hornby go in a different direction? Walker? Cook? Burgess?

Personally, for pure inspiration and guts, I'd go Arrow for the (c) next to his name.
I like arrow also but fear he is only one bad tackle or dive from being gone for the year. And while we do cautiously still play him does he get enough minutes to be that leader?

Walker doesn’t need the extra pressure or distraction.
Cook doesn’t seem interested enough to be captain.

options are slim

Options are slim as you say. I reckon they put it on Mitchell to take ownership of the leadership to make amends for his start to the year. It's happened in the past where the most ill disciplined star player in a side has been made captain and it's brought out the best in them. His critics will be very vocal in the meantime.

Yes I think Arrow but I’m concerned he’ll be the next one who’s out with injury going by how many times he went down holding the shoulder on Thursday

Well then we shuffle the cards and find yet another captain if he were chosen and then goes down. But while he's there, he is inspirational, no doubt. For mine it's more a matter of how many minutes is he likely to be on given the need to nurse him through.

The whole medical team must be sacked IMMEDIATELY.
No pay.
This is a f....ing disgrace.
Demetriou was involved in the sacking of Eddie Farah and his staff, and what did they achieve?
- the most unfit team in over 30 years
- misdiagnosis of Cambell Graham injury, out for the season.
- 50% of the squad out injured after only 8 rounds.
Demetriou and Latrell Mitchell are responsible for this.
Demetriou for his insecurity and stupidity, Latrell Mitchell for his whining and whingeing that he "wasn't being looked after" with his calf "injury" that resulted in being out for 10 weeks last season
