Will be 21 when he joins next season if we sign him and is currently tackling at 91% this season so if he missed 6 one week, then his others must've been near perfect having made 80 odd tackles so far.

Of our forwards after 6 rounds, Chrichton is at 86%, Sam 89%, Murray 91%, Clark at 91%, Nicholls 88%, Sutton 95%(!), Tatola 94%, Tom 90%, George 87% and Cook 90%.
Only Sutton and Tatola have been better than Su'a in defence. Su'a also has time on his side. 20 is still young for any forward, especially one who is in the 17 every week. Crichton was 21 last season when he broke out, many don't until 23 so without breaking the bank, i believe he'd be a very good signing should the rumour eventuate.

Tatola is class. Need to lock him down ASAP.

Sutton averages about 80m per game playing 80 minutes, but you cuss out someone for making 40m per game over 30/40 minutes?

Now you're saying you want Sam on an edge when in pre-season you were calling Seibold a moron for suggesting that he'd be used on an edge.

Do you think before you post these things? At all?

Also, you have no idea what Seibold would or wouldn't tolerate.

Please stop using that shit to try to add credibility to your argument. It screams insecurity on your part.
But but Sorensen scored a try! Why don’t we have him locked up for 5 years???
Poor recruitment

Absolutely. The plus side there is that we threw him a lifeline (in terms of a first grade contract) for this year, so we should have some good will there.

He's definitely hit the ground running in first grade. I'd be trying to sign him up long term.

Would love to get Su'a as I reckon he's a future star for sure but I'm not sure about Gosie tbh.

As STID said, above all, I'd like Papalii but I don't think it'll happen. Is his asking price too high for Canberra too? Anyone know?

Well the rumour that’s doing the rounds on other forums is that Papalli is asking for 800k. I’m sure we could afford it but I don’t know if we want to pay that much. Probably just hard negotiating. I’d personally give him 800k. I highly doubt Canberra will be able to retain him. If they do they’ll probably have to let other talent go.

Is he really worth that?
Boys we have already discussed recruitment tactics weather papali is worth it or not is irrelevant to shift a player not in the same city, or from anywhere for that matter is governed by the market and what another club is willing to pay.
You would need to give papali an offer he cant refuse 700k from our cap and 150 in tpas 50k more than he wants and time limit him by offering an incentive he cant refuse.
How much you would pay dosent work uprooting him from his friends and family and the costs involved

Can't see Uncle Wayne letting go of Su'a.

Can't see Uncle Wayne letting go of Su'a.

With Glenn and Gillett possessing the edges in Brisbane and a potential 80 edge spot up for grabs at Redfern, Uncle Wayne may not have a say in the matter.
We've seen plenty of players leave his Broncos for better opportunities recently and Jaydn Su'a could easily be another.
At the end of the day, if he is out of contract then it isn't Bennett's decision to make.

Tariq simms is playing good footy at the moment not sure if he's off contract

I'd prefer Ruan :joy:

Stoked about Cook wanting a 3 year extension. He’s absolutely killed it this year and I think he’s going to be a key player for the next few years.

How crazy is it that TPJ is demanding 700k a season? Crichton has made all these young guys inflate their asking price. It’s absolutely unbelievable. Good luck on retaining Su’a if you’re gonna give that much to TPJ.
