That was an absolute disgrace. By far the dirtiest, filthiest performance by a team I have ever seen. Souths got completely owned by a young tigers pack and couldn't handle it. They resorted to cheap, late, high shots because they couldn't take it. Potter would have been with in his rights to march down and take the team off. Souths were deliberately trying to injure tigers players. The refs are a joke for not doing more.

It was embarrassment to the game and to their club. If I was a souths supporter I couldn't be more embarrassed by the absolute filth scum they put out tonight

Between Sam, George and Luke Burgess facing suspension next week as well as Luke and Inglis being out injured will Souffs be able to field a team next week?

Could it be the first time 3 brothers are all suspended at the same time? Julie would be so proud!

Was at the game and the refs completely lost it. They need to send Sam to the bin when he was 3rd man in. They should have sent at least one Souths player off from persistent and intentional high shots.

I think all 3 brothers will be suspended for at least next week as well as James Gavet from the Tigers.

When the refs won't do their job and protect you then you are left with no choice but to protect your own.

If Simona was sent for 10 I bet Woods doesn't put Burgess in a knee breaking position. If 2 key Souths players don't get hit with unpunished dog shots they don't lose their temper later in the game.

I was thinking the same thing on Sam Burgess. The refs said there was nothing wrong with the tackle. So the situation was there was nothing illegal in the tackle, but even if there was a player took the law into his own hands and out of the hands of the refs potentially starting a brawl, and he only got a warning when they have pretty clear third man in rules now (I thought?). The commentators called it good refereeing. I called it farce.

.......but it's a fair assessment.


It looked to me that Souths now believe they won't win the comp & they were frustrated by that realisation.

tigers fans were complaining when tim solomona? got taken off conveniently forgetting he was responsible for GI leaving the field

but the number of shots on tedesco's head was shocking

i agree with a previous poster, souths forwards couldnt believe they were getting bashed by the tigers pack and took out their frustrations via cheap shots

Aaron woods absolutely dominated souths

and the way sydney has turned on the burgess boys is partly due to the saturation coverage they got from channel nine last year (and also sam deserting for union like a lair). doubt we will be seeing much of mum burgess this year

they are really despised by fans now.
