Race to 100 Tries & Beyond for Parramatta - Gutho & Sivo

So with Gutho scoring a hat-trick he has gone past Ray Price & Eric Grothe Snr who both scored 78 tries for Parramatta.

Gutho is now ranked 7th all-time with 80 tries and Sivo is on 83 ranked 5th.

Now i still expect Sivo to do this in a canter before Gutho does but in 77 seasons we have only had 3 players score 100 tries.

With Sivo & Gutho both in the 80s. Its possible in the next 18 months we add 2 more players to the 100 Tries club for the mighty blue & gold.

Burt got the record playing 264 games over 14 years at about 1 try every 0.47 games. Sivo is currently scoring a try every 0.85 games. If he played as many games as Burt he would potentially score 224 tries, 100 more than Burt.

Unfortunately starting his FG career at age 26 means he won't play anywhere near as many games as Burt, but you're right, he should end up with the record if current rate continues.

some of those bunker calls last night were hard to fathom, they seem to be looking for these obstruction calls when they just aren't there and while Baily may have obstructed the Manly merkin, there is no way he would have stopped Sivo from scoring

Would anyone actaully like Sivo to get to 100 tries or left stranded in the 90s if Barrett dumps him for good.

Feels like some of his efforts in the past 18 months does he really deserve being on the verge of becoming just the 4th player in our club's history to get to 100 tries.

I suppose Jarryd is on there so it takes the gloss away anyway.
