Updated list - Sivo is within sight of 100 just 4 tries away. So potentially not far away.

Sivo - 96
Gutho - 88

Would anyone actaully like Sivo to get to 100 tries or left stranded in the 90s if Barrett dumps him for good.

Feels like some of his efforts in the past 18 months does he really deserve being on the verge of becoming just the 4th player in our club's history to get to 100 tries.

I suppose Jarryd is on there so it takes the gloss away anyway.

Luke Burt - 124
Jarryd Hayne - 113
Brett Kenny - 110

It’s all up to Sivo

No dramas if Barrett drops him from a height

Hope Gutho gets to over 100 though

Gutho will get to 100 this year.

Sivo will get there before our next bye

nothing surer.

Looking at Eels tryscoring only, we should be scouting in Fiji for more wingers.

Kenny: 0.41 tries per game
Gutho: 0.45 tries per game*
Burt: 0.47 tries per game
Hayne: 0.59 tries per game
Semi: 0.87 tries per game
Sivo: 0.87 tries per game*

he probably let more in than he has scored
Look at the way the inside centre and edge get sucked in and leave him posted numerous times. He does make mistakes but the system is not his friend.

My grandson who played reps in Ball and Matt’s as a backrower, was asked to play 15 minutes on the wing , and said he never felt so lost and exposed as it all depends on how the insides move in cover. Said he appreciated how specialised wing play was and how system reliant it felt.

Our club is desperate for wingers nonetheless. If Sivo stays our backline is full plus Talagi unless we can upgrade on Russell and Simmonson. Im hopeful "our system" is now under review with TB in charge. The 11 day break may well provide an opportunity to work on improvements and communication.
Any chance Lomax might play wing as an Eel? There is a stigma about playing wing but in todays game they are massively important. Every bit as important as the 3 and 4.

100% - this is what EG Senior posted about a few months ago when the knives were out for Sivo.

Yep, once there's an overlap every choice by the defender is wrong. It's up to the attack to either execute correctly or butcher the try. If they play it right, they will score no matter what the defender does. This is why the best move by a winger is often to jam in and force the attacker to execute under pressure.
