Howell certainly hasn't done anything to deserve getting dropped, he may not be flashy but he is solid both under the high ball and when it's on the ground and his positional play has been spot on.

Has anyone heard of this ref, Bernard Sutton? Let's hope the crowd can win a few decisions from him.

I think the ref is the one we had a few game ago in Pl when he absolutely canned us for everyting there was going and waht wasnt going ... the most biased display of reffing I've ever seen ... hope he's pulled his head out of his arse since cause if he hasnt he'll prob be the first ref that has needed a police escort out of Bruce and up the Hume.

Well you get confident of victory and they come up with a performance like that. I hope all you David Howell supporters have finally woken up to the fact that he is not a first grade footballer, never has been, never will be. Please don't offer the excuse that he received a heavy knock, he is a hoax and we should get rid of him at the earliest opportunity. He can take Colin Best with him. The only positive I take out of the night was the form of Joel Monaghan for the Roosters.

Obviously a big turn around in our defensive capabilities will be required in 2008 or the spoon beckons. It was not so much the missed tackles but the failure to put the opposition on the ground or lock up the ball, which was the big worry and has been all year. Our physical preparation will be crucial. I don't know of another team in the NRL that fails to finish a game with 17 players as regularly as the Raiders.

I've just got home from dinner, turned the TV on and saw the scoreline ... must admit I'm not to surprised and without having seen the game yet I reckon you are porbably spot on Syd Raider.

The thing that disappoints the most is that I dont think we have really improved any part of our game since Rnd 1.

I'll sum up the season in another thread but quite frankly the bottom line comes down to improvement, especially in defence, and by golly Henry has got a lot to improve come March 2008.
