I have watched the raiders many times this year and watching them against manly you can see that the raiders have VERRY POOR defence and ABSOLUTELY NO attack! They're structure is verry bad! And it all comes down to the coach! Furner is no coach! He has no idea! And the bad news is he will never get sacked!! All because Of his brother Don! If anyone else was the coach they would have been replaced long ago! Its upsetting for a raiders fan! They have the players to go a long way.. They just need a good coach!

Furner is clearly out of his depth. I cannot see a turnaround in form coming anytime soon.

Our season is well and truly over - we now need to work on avoiding the wooden spoon.

What a disaster of a season 2011 is....

He has to go.

We've just equalled our worst losing streak of all time with the best roster we've had in over a decade.

Tonight our gameplay was abysmal. The players are better than the gameplan we had. Noone is that moronic.

Except Furner.

Not a Raider's fan,but you guys are missing a director in attack,by the name of T Campese.
Confidence in defence can occur ,when you are scoring tries and keeping the opposition on the back foot.Campese had the ability to direct traffic and turn the defense around with his line kicks etc.

The side we have fielded this year has been easily better than our previous years yet we are having our worse season in God knows how long. Blame is definitely with Furner.

This press conference is laughable.

Blaming the conditions and the lack of the big forwards.

It's the players, the coaching isn't dropping teh balls!!!11 i'm sure this isn't teh game plan!!1one

note: if you're one of the raiders fans or critics who regularly trot out this line, you have the footballing nous of Gaba's severely geniused brother

I agree with that , we played in differnet condition to our opposition

I'll add its the coaches job to get the team out of this situation , I can not see how he is capable of doing that.

I'll support the raiders till the end but i dont think I'll watch next weekends match , maybe its me , thats why they are losing . I'll drop myself.

Not as if we were going any better when the forwards he mentioned were fit.

At least we know why Campese has such a huge contract, he coaches the team as well as being the star player.

The Raiders are a complete rabble at the moment. They have no idea how to score a try. Goodness knows how many tackles they had in Manly's 20 and never looked like scoring. Another diabloical performance. Furner should stand down immediately.

Yep, you guys have summed it up, he's totally out of his depth.

Was so happy in the covereage when Brandy Alexander put it out there about the coach's tactics, hopefully other pundits start to shed light on it.

The way we tried to get some deep backline movements going in the wet weather proved that we had no 'Plan B'. We just expected fine conditions and when the weather went bad decided to keep with the plan.

My biggest embarrassment was that inside their 10m line, our forwards were never running anges, just straight up into the defence. So badly coached that they cannot execute fairly standard running lines.

And our compressed defence!!?? How bad is it, week after week we get done on this, sides just shifting the ball from one side to the other and being presented with a heap of space on the wing. Watch the Storm kill us in this department on Saturday.

My tip is that Furner will walk at some point, he knows he doesn't have solutions and those around him know that. He does love the club and I don't think it's in his character to enter a stand-off where the only solution is to be paid out for the remaining years on his contract.

Brandy's 'solutions' we're hardly a sterling argument though. Harrison to 5/8 and McCrone to half? We'd gain a bit in attack by getting rid of Orford but we'd still be lucky to post 10 points most weeks.

Brandy's idea was idiotic.

Harrison has been poor all year and putting him at 5/8 or any forward as he suggested wouldnt solve anything and nor would moving McCrone to half.

And with our game plan it wouldnt matter if Thurston was the half.

I'm pretty sure Andrew Johns is the only recent player who could keep this team competitive. And even then he'd just be shaving 10 or so points off the losing margin.

Agree, apologies if context was wrong. I was just happy that someone was publicly questioning the coach.

Yea agreed. Daley was hinting at it but would be good mates with Dave so he can't call a spade a spade.

Sounds just like Parra. This could very interesting when they play each other. 0 - 0 ????
