Whinge moan, whinge moan. Accept it, you got beaten by a side with more hunger and spirit today.I Bleed Green said:The referee was a joke. I never use him as an excuse, but Steve Lyons was awful.
In the first half there were several high tackles against us, and he warned Monty Betham that next time he'd send someone off. So there was a next time, but Seu Seu a repeat offender, did another high tackle... and took no action. Grow some balls son.
The Seu Seu tackle on Davico was 10 x worse than the one that Hodges was sent off for.
And then with 7 minutes to go, he did cost us the game. Gafa was playing the ball, the Warriors bloke was all over him and pushed him back, and the referee ruled a knock on (the ball never went forward, it was just a sloppy play the ball which the Warriors caused). From the ensuing scrum, the Warriors scored the match winning try.
I think the Warriors had the game plan to come out and try and rattle us by going high, apparently it worked.
Meli, Faumuina and Seu Seu will find themselves on the sidelines for quite a while, if there's any consistency.
Still, we could've won it much earlier. No excuses I suppose.
Agreed, i reckon the difference was in the halves, in that Stacey Jones finally turned it on and showed what he was capable of. Unfortunately for Canberra they had no answer to that.Edwahu said:We lost because we have the shittest halves going around.
We would have had that game wrapped up after 70 with a even half decent playmaker who actually organised the players around him.

WTF are you on about with the Seu Seu hit on Davico? Jerry dropped the shoulder and Davico fell into it. There was NOTHING in that tackle, it was unlucky to even cop a penalty. Seu Seu won't have a case to answer at the judiciary, it was an unfortunate accident for Davico, that's all.
Thierry Henry said:Meli and Faumuina?? For what? There was absolutely nothing doing in that "lifting tackle" either. Monaghan wouldn't go to ground, the referee refused to call held (as Monty Betham quite rightly pointed out) so Faumuina grabbed him by the legs in an attempt to tip him up. Monaghan went down awkwardly because Meli, who had no intention of lifting him, had his hands between Monaghan legs trying to hold him.
