Funny that at the start of the season when I said that the Raiders wouldn't make the eight as they would lose a lot more of the close ones they one last year (returning to their previous couple of years form) all the Raiders supporters wanted to tell me how their forwards are so superior to the rest of the competitions and that they would only go from strength to strength. The referee was a joke. I never use him as an excuse, but Steve Lyons was awful.

In the first half there were several high tackles against us, and he warned Monty Betham that next time he'd send someone off. So there was a next time, but Seu Seu a repeat offender, did another high tackle... and took no action. Grow some balls son.

The Seu Seu tackle on Davico was 10 x worse than the one that Hodges was sent off for.

And then with 7 minutes to go, he did cost us the game. Gafa was playing the ball, the Warriors bloke was all over him and pushed him back, and the referee ruled a knock on (the ball never went forward, it was just a sloppy play the ball which the Warriors caused). From the ensuing scrum, the Warriors scored the match winning try.

I think the Warriors had the game plan to come out and try and rattle us by going high, apparently it worked.

Meli, Faumuina and Seu Seu will find themselves on the sidelines for quite a while, if there's any consistency.

Still, we could've won it much earlier. No excuses I suppose.

You never use the ref as an excuse BUT theres always a first time.

I enjoyed that game today....Raiders choked yet again....had the game yet handed it over quite meekly, PLUS it looks like 2 possibly 3 Warriors will be watch us next weekend fron the stand. :lol:

You guys are kidding yourselves if you think Seu Seu, Meli and Faumina will not be charged. The hit on Davico was absolutley disgusting, and he was lucky he didn't get sent off. I guess we will all see who is right tomorrow though.

Not having seen the tackles in question I can't comment on them, however their reaction I guess is like any fan's reaction when they see one of their players get taken high. Sure, it looks bad sometimes if it happens to the other team, but if it happens to your team it always, and I mean always, looks 1,000 times worse. Typical one-eyed reaction

Oh yeah, and it also doesn't look as bad when one of your players goes high as opposed to other players. Just my two cents.

The lifting tackle didn't look so bad live, far worse on TV. Probably a few weeks for whoever for that. Even the LU updates say there was nothing in the Seuseu tackles.

I find it quite strange that after EVERY loss....theres at least one of you raiders fans blaming this, that or the other.....you guys can NEVER take a loss on the chin.....if yous had some balls and just said "good game" "better team won" etc etc as the majority of ppl on here do when their team has a loss....then maybe there would be no critisism....but comments like............

Face it lads - the better team won on the day. Raiders seemed to set a reasonable platform, but just can't land that killer blow. Think about it - there were at least 3 clean line breaks that were squandered.

Part of the problem is in the halves, but just as big a problem is that we do not have a centre who can charge onto the breaks and get across the line. This is also apparent in final tackle options, when there is a huge amount of milling around and no sign of anyone with the speed, size or bollocks to run hard and straight. Monoghan might grow into this player, but he needs support, particularly since Shif seems to have morphed into a defensive focussed fullback.

The ref DID cost us in the final couple of minutes with an absurd call against Gafa, but let's face it - the Raiders should have been far enough ahead at that stage that it would have made no difference. Instead, they were beaten by an inferior team that played with a better plan, a lot more courage and exponentially more organisation.

I'm not seeing the tackle with one eye. The tackle was disgusting. During the after match report with Laurie Daley and Warren Smith Daley said he was apalled that SeuSeu wasn't sent off for the shot on Davico. The one-eyed reactions are coming from everyone else who were saying "it was just a good hit".

Yeah? Well I find it quite strange that you have such an unhealthy obsession with us. Every time the raiders lose you seem to appear as if out of nowhere and out fly the laughter and insults. You even used to have your location as "Thankfully no where near Canberra". Have you ever even been to Canberra? You really do need to get a life mate. It's scaring me, actually. Go see a psychiatrist or something, it isn't normal.

Meli started to tip Monoghan up, then stopped and let the others finish the tackle off and Monoghan landed on his back. How is that a spear?

He was above the horizontal and both Meli and Sione had their hands between his legs. Watch the replay again.

Seu Seu's hit on Davico was NOTHING. I can't believe he was on report. LAUGHABLE.

He hit him with the top of his arm (bicep), not his shoulder. Again, look at the replay. If Wiki gets 5 weeks for his hit on Stephens, then this deserves similar. Not to mention Seu Seu knee-lifting all game.

In addition Schifcofske got hit high by Seu Seu, and took a dive. As soon as he knew he was getting the penalty he got up and was fine about it.

You can't send someone off for a lot of high tackles, just for one particularly bad one. Nor can you use that as an excuse for losing. "We lost because one of their players wasn't sent off." What the f**k?

We lost because of a bad call on Gafa, and because we didn't convert enough of our line breaks.

If the Warriors are penalised for pushing Gafa, we get the ball down the other end and soak up some time. They weren't, so the Warriors are basically gifted a try. Gafa was called for a knock-on, but he never actually knocked it on either. His foot nudged the ball forward because of being pulled backward.

Virtually everyone on this forum has complained about play-the-ball penalties. This was the be all and end all of bad play-the-ball calls.

If you weren't such a Raiders-hater Benny maybe you could see that.
