Raiders scored a try in the last 15secs to go up 20 - 12 ... 1T of 25mins to go

That was a pretty slick 25mins by the green machine with McCrone and Waddell combining well

24 - 12 after another great try by the Raiders with McCrone involved again ... 18mi s to go

28 - 12 with 13mins left after a deft bomb out wide was caught and passed to go over the line

Another try to the GM ... 32 - 12 with 8mins left on the timepiece

This is not our FG side sp it is difficult to make judgement on a trial game but at the least it indicates we have some depth

As I said above it is difficult to gauge a match like that being a trial but at the least it indicates we have a few positions covered in terms of depth ... the team today would probably form the basis of a great PL team if that still existed but the guys who played today would certainly keep the regulars on their toes.

I was mainly concentrating on the Raiders and with the lack of team sheets I'm not in a position to comment on Cronulla players.

There were no real standouts in SG Ball (for either team) ... I thought the u16's was a classier game with Josh Mitchell a real future prospect but unfortunately a #9 (see next comment).

Furner has a real dilemma on his hands in the hooking department ... (read separate thread).

FG went OK but remember this was 2nd tier v 2nd tier but being the first game and in hot conditions there were some real slick passing by the boys.

SG Ball didnt stand out as anything to get excited about but the "First" thirteen in u'16's have some future prospects especially Josh Mitchell (I think I've mentioned that about 10 times now, and no he's not my son :lol
