Just a question, how is a 50-50 call dodgey if it goes against the Raiders? A 50-50 call generally means the call could have gone either way and be justified fairly, hence a 50-50 call.

yea good point, poor choice of words
what i ment was we've copped a few dodgey calls and all the 50/50's are going against us

that makes more sense. 50-50 calls generally go the way of the team with momentum.

just while on it what did anyone make of the first try. Touchy said no try and the ref ignored that and awarded it despite him being in no position to make a call. Benefit of the doubt fine but IMO there was more than enough doubt to award no try

Very touch and go. To be honest, I thought the front on angle showed Rhino get it down. You could see the ball go down in between the mess of legs. The position Rhino ended up in as well suggested to me it was a try. I was still surprised to see it awarded though.

Ryan Cross deserved 10 in the bin, not for the punch up, but that hair cut

I mean, what was he thinking ?

game over
well done Tigers
we came out without a clue in the first half and you did enough to put us away. Well deserved win.

Don't feel too good about it really. If Smith had been playing in the second half we wouldn't have gotten away with it. Very, very lucky.

We sucked in that first half, plain and simple, that was terrible and they should be ashamed of themselves.

But one question I want to ask everyone, that brett hodgson take at the back, he knocked it back into his left hand then it went forward about 3 foot, would I be correct in thinking that something like this is a knock on?

2 points is 2 points, no matter how ugly the win. Tigers were definately lucky in some aspects of the game, but it's a refreshing change from past years. Does anyone know what the final penalty count ended up?

Great game.

First half from us was absolutely fantastic.

Second half was rubbish, mostly because Farah was off the field. Sheens needs to get it through his thick skull that he needs to stay on the park for 80 minutes.

I think we collapse in second halves simply due to inexperience. On reflection, the experienced blokes in the team are Skando + Hodgson. Then blokes like Richards, Prince, Rieck, Galea and Laffranchi. Blokes who really don't have THAT much experience themselves.

yeah fair point, but dont forget we were without croker, shif, woolford and j smith which is a fair chunk of our experienced group also.

the penalty count was 13-2 in canberra last season so ive got no complaints, canberra fans were not willing to see hayne made any errors that day, so i thought Hampstead performance was very good.

Not a great win, terrible second half, but we will certainly take it.

I'm surprised how tame both supporters are. Normally its the blood feud from hell. Good to see for a change. By the way Raider 69 thanks for the count.

Benji is having a corker of a match.
I love watching this guy play. Thrilling ball player and blistering ball runner. A true asset of the NRL - I pray he stays injury-free for his entire career.

ahh ok
cheers

im not at all surprised by how tame it is
both supporter groups are a passionate bunch and generally the only reason there is a sh*t fight is when something controvesial happened
this game nothing like that
i do believe we again were on the wrong side of all 50-50's and didnt at all get the rub of the green with the ref but thats footy, not much you can do about it

we didnt deserve to win on the back of our first 30 minutes anyways
