Elbow straight to Withers' nose. Should be looked at closely by the authorities. Couldn't see exactly what happened to Weyman, but I hope it is looked at as well.

There was absolutley nothing wrong with either tackle.

Especially Weyman's tackle. Neither tackler was anywhere near the head & there was no head slam. It was pretty strange.

As for MacDougall's tackle, just a good shoulder charge. If you think there was something wrong with it then you can definatly be accused of double standards because Smith also did a shoulder charge to the nose of Luke MacDougall. Both were sickening blows, but by the current interpretaions of the rules, both legal.

Incorrect. I am not guilty of anything like double standards. Smith's shoulder charge was an obvious shoulder charge. MacDougall's "tackle" involved an elbow to the head. This needs very close scruitiny

I agree I didn't see anything wrong with the Weyman tackle during the telecast, apart from the flop, which merited a penalty, that did not come. However, others have said they saw illegal play, so I am just saying it should be looked at.

Well the "others" must be on something.

I agree that there were arms in MacDougalls, but other than that there was no difference between the two.

There was definatly no elbow.

I saw a forearm to thehead of Weyman by Scott Logan. Gary Freeman is an out and out twit. He was on the Raiders case all day and saw nothing in the Logan tackle. Logan flopped with a forearm to the head of Weyman. Before that Weyman was ok then mysteriously he gets up concussed and has to be helped from the field.

Yes it is called an elbow to the head. Disgraceful miss by the officials at the match.

Geez Raiders fans never stop whinging....even after they win a game.

There was nothing wrong with it, how many replays did they have of the two incidents during the game? there was like 10+ replays of the 2 combined.....

-Video Ref saw nothing wrong with it

-Ref saw nothing wrong with it

-Canberra players saw nothing wrong with it

- Commentators saw nothing wrong with it

-I saw nothing wrong with it

Stop whinging........

I thought the Withers injury was suspect but with mr. "89' Grand final still on my mind' commentating I got persuaded into thinking it was a regulation tackle.

I didnt see anything in the Weyman incident, it was strange to say the least, the Jason Smith one was fine IMO, it was a shoulder charge and MacDougall fell into his shoulder, the MacDougall on Withers was foul play and should have seen at the very least a penatly, his forearm/elbow clearly made contact with the face

The commentators were incredibly biased and desperate for Souths to win. They incorrectly said there was something wrong with the Smith shoulder charge. They incorrectly said there was nothing wrong with the elbow to Withers' head.

My problem is with the officials.

Who says the Canberra players thought there was "nothing wrong with it"?

And I have no idea whether you are a reputable judge of rugby league. And who are you to say we are whinging? Just commenting on what we saw. And that has nothing to do whether the Raiders win or lose.... it is what happened with the incident.

Watch the game fagchops, you will see why.

By the sound of that post, if the same thing happened to say Karmichael Hunt it would be a travesty............

hahahahahahaha this is hilarious

the raiders argument : "no i dont believe our player did anything wrong, cause he is a raider, duh"
us: "nothing wrong with wat maddog did"
raiders: "no, it is quite obvious a raiders player got hit hard, now we all know raiders players are too good to get hit hard unless its illegal, so somthing foul is afoot, wait a second, ELBOW ALERT, against a raider? ur not serious?!?!? he should get double hoppa's sentence cause, fellas, it was against A RAIDER."

Im waiting to veiw it on replys but from the ground to me it looked like Smith's shoulder charge was fine as it looked like Mad Pup fell into his shoulder which busted his nose, where as Mad dog raised his elbow/forearm and it most definately made contact with the face.

2 very different things IMO, but lets not let facts get in the way of a good raiders bashing :)

I couldnt care less anyways, if mad dog gets suspended we dont get any benifit for it, the game is over and we won, what happens at the judicary isnt our issue any more, Smith will definately not have a case to answer for while Mad Dog imo might have to front up

smith's shoulder charge on macdougal was completely legit. it was unfortunate that macdougal moved into a bad position at the last second. that was out of smith's hands though. what smith intended to do was a perfect shoulder charge but macdougal at the last moment stepped to the left and cop a shoulder to the jaw. nobody is to blame. smith will not get into any sort of trouble and im sure that if the NRL wish to pursue it any further macdougal will more than likely testify FOR smith.
mad dog's hit on the other hand will definately be subject to further scrutiny. at first i thought it was a good hit but when watching the replay you can see macdougal go in with raised forearms/elbows and withers came out of it with a broken nose. sounds abit dodgy to me.
