If the census is accurate people should think twice about saying things that are a hint to their character. Reduces the chance that mafia will take out mafia if everyone is throwing out hints to indicate they're town.

Also there's a 50/50 chance that the person who picked your role is scum and this early they're the ones most likely to recognise it.
