Personally
1. North Sydney Oval - love it, one of my favourite places around, perfect spot these days to sit on the hill with a beer and watch the Bears
2. SFS - best all seater in Sydney by far, gets a great atmosphere, close to action etc
3. Leichhardt - Nostalgic feel, really close to the action
4. Win Stadium - Been there loads, just enjoy it.
5. Campbelltown - Found it a good ground, good viewing, easy to get to.

ANZ stadium is shit for regular season footy unless a big crowd is in, Havent been to Shark Park in years, didnt like Kogarah that much when I went.

Don't need membership to park there, I've parked there each of the four times I've been to Centrebet. I should probably clarify, it's a dirty whore of a parking lot to get out of post-game.

Everybody wants to leave at the same time but don't want to stay for a post-match beer. :(

Yep AAMI is suffering in the lists due to its newness and that most won't have been there yet.

Just an outstanding RL ground, facilities, view, proximity to transport (including being walking distance from the CBD).

The one single fault you can find is capacity but that is only an issue for Origins anyway.

Timmah pretty sure 2000 was last time a game was on the MCG. All the AFL/cricket grounds are terrible venues for RL

Just looked at the website - AAIMI Park looks like an outstanding facility.

Of the ones I've been to:

1. Brookvale (besides the ground announcer last year, toilets, parking, food etc), needs to be heritage listed ASAP.2. SFS (not a bad seat in the house)
3. Bluetongue (corporate boxes, in particular)
4. Canberra Stadium (good parking, took forvever outside waiting for pre-ordered tickets, besides that can't wait for Manly to play there again one day)
5. North Sydney Oval (like a mini SCG)
6. Leichardt Oval (like Brookvale: but with better funding and better restaurants outside it)

No! It Should be bulldozed and housing commission housing built on the land

One could argue Etihad is okay for NRL given the ability to roll the stands in... however I'm led to believe that rarely happens for league or soccer, because of the precious AFL...

Ah yes. The so called movable stands

From memory have seen it once - Post season test against Kiwis.

Can't recall for Origin tbh. I try to get elevated corner post seats when the games are there

Been to ANZ stadium and found that it only suits big events like SOO and finals week.

There's no way I'd go to it every fornight for a Panther's game.

The had them in for the LA Galaxy v Melbourne Victory game this year. To be honest its pretty weird you have to walk along this bridge to get to them and there is no real atmosphere.

The only time I think I will ever agree with Karl (LU's resident Union Troll and Carguide website writer) is in his assessment of QEII, that place was a f**king abomination. Ive been to numerous NSWRL/ARL/NRL games and Origins there and it like watching Avatar on a 3 inch screen.

Cazalys (AFL Park) in Cairns has also hosted NRL matches, f**king terrible venue.

I think I found what is possibly the best looking stadium for footy I've ever seen. It is the Estadio de Bessa in Portugal. Seats 28,000. Look how steep those stands are - SO close to the action! Wonder how much it'd cost to make Brookvale oval look like this....

How can a stadium with steep stands be safe?

I guess that's a matter of opinion - how safe is safe? Are you a personal responsibility kind of guy, or a nanny state kind of guy?

I have no doubt it would be more dangerous getting in a car and driving to the game than walking up/down some steep stairs to get to your seat.

From memory the MCG stands are pretty steep, as are the nosebleed ANZ areas...

Live just down the road from Brookvale Oval. Personally, it's 50/50 in my opinion. You're close to the action and it's a good atmosphere when it's full. Facilities aren't state-of-the-art like, but it's the game that's most important. It beats ANZ Stadium though. You're so far away.

It would need to comply with the BCA. I don't think you'd get away with an upper stand that steep in Australia, but could cantilever the upper tier out more make the angle shallower and probably get that to work.

I can see why the Warriors want to move to Eden Park on a permanent basis.

Mt Smart is not only about 15kms from the city centre but is in the middle of a light industrial zone

Mt Smart is actually a pretty good stadium though in terms of the actual facilities. Good grandstands, close to the action and well lit. The distance from the CBD isn't really an issue, especially considering that a lot of the fanbase are from South Auckland anyway. However the fact that it's in an industrial area is a negative.

Not saying it's a bad facility. Took me nearly an hour to get there. Heard it's usually 20 minutes by train from Britomart to Penrose, but when I was over there the trains were off at the time so had to go by bus.

Moffo - again rivalling Bunniesman as the forums most defective brain.

Firstly, where is Pioneer Oval in your list you dumb f*ck?

To put Parra Stadium below Brookvale is enough to get your certified insane.

Parramatta is a great ground, with its biggest issue is accessibility. You have to be in the know to jag a car parking spot. I also miss the hill. Great place to take young kids for a cheap night out - for this reason Penrith is a winner too. Hunter is great - bloody expensive though. Bluetongue is just crying out for a team to call home - great venue.

Brooky was great when opposing front rowers were all garbos and communal team baths were the go. And to echo Timmah - Lang Park would be great if it wasnt for the Queenslanders. Seats need better drainage too.

Hasnt there also been games at Waikato Stadium? Didnt the Chooks play a game at Henson Park in the late 1990's?

Blow me c**k hunter
