RAPER not to blame.......

I've just had a massive debate about the sharks losing 7 in a row. SWJ has debated with me as to why Raper should be gone and I have been debating as to why Raper should stay and isn't too blame. I think you are a bit hard on the guy personally. I think it is more your players you should be worried about. From my understanding, Raper isn't out there telling Scott to drop the ball, he isn't telling Bailey to pass off the ground. I think your players should be playing easy, safe football and to blame Raper for all the fancy stuff they try and do. Well it's wrong.

in no particular order

1. keeping a halves combo that obviously doesnt work
2. playing players out of postion
3. chopping players from 1 position to another during a game
4. inadequate use of the bench
5. keeping certain players in team that do not deserve to be there
6. dropping others who do
7. not giving juniors a chance
8. being a yes man to the board
9. having nfi about any gameplan
10. not listening to people who know more about the game then he does
11. waiting until season is screwed before making any changes- albeit wrong ones anyway

robosharks has nailed it for you PantherMel.....any 3 of those is enough to blame the coach.....yet he has been guilty of ALL of them!!

trust me....the coach here has to shoulder a massive chunk of the decline!!!

You have the word Panther in your name cause you like the Panthers.
You have the word Mel in your name cause you like the Sharks.

You gotta figure that out before you try and figure out George.

The coach cant catch the passes, kick the balls, etc, etc, during the game. But he is resposible for the team preparation and performance week in week out. If the team goes sh*t - he is accountable, bottom line, end reult.

If the coach is kept in his position with constant repeat mediocre performances then the board/Management are accountable.

Last year we scrapped into the semi's and we know what happened next - Mad Monday was put off by a week.

This year its shaping to be worse and not make the semi's - if we do then MM will be put off a week again thanks to Storm or the Dogs.

Its referred to often on here as "Ground Hog Day" - Its time Bill Murray was eradicated as the accountability lines have reached the peak - BUT - if The coach goes, what does that say about the board and their objectives. Especially as there is the AGM approaching down the line.

If they are clever they will scheldule the AGM about round 16 as we are usually travelling ok by this stage.

But we all know what will happen - sweet f**k all - and that goes for me too as ill still be supporting us and posting the same things this time next year, just a year older, and another year of being disapointed.

Coach not to blame????

Not solely, but the team last night had no idea who was doing what. After simmons went off with a busted bible, they looked like they werent sure what to do and who was playing where - see vagana, even though he couldnt give a toss, why put him in at fullback.

And then theres this comment from son of supposed footy god -

"We can't look back at what's happened, we can't change those results. We need to be positive about the way we want to play and go all out and see what happens.

He must have read the wrong speak, he has used this chestnut for weeks now.

"I'm proud of these guys because it's hard to front up when you put in the effort you do and keep losing.

Hard to front up, yeah they are being paid a pitance really arent they, to do something they hate.

"The players are hurting as much as anyone, I see what they go through. We played well in the first half but at the end of the day we're just not winning games."

do they all have injuries? as michale stipe once said "everybody hurts" sometimes, not all the time....

It's not George Ropers fault.

And I blame the idiots, and I blame Hartley, and I blame Lee Harvey Oswald, and I blame the bit of foam that fell off at the launch, and I blame the iceberg, and I blame the George Dubyah, and I blame John Kerr, and I blame the Italian diver, and I blame Pontious Pilot, and I blame the tsumami, and I blame the ...........

I've offered the club my services - especially in the field of retention.

Ive nominated two top priority signings..

Pol Pott and Idi Amin - the first a halfback and the second a big front rower.

Cheers
