Ratings take into account my pre-season expectations - ie I've been more critical of players I thought would do well.

Geoff Daniela: Doesn't seem terrible, but can't see him as anything more than a depth signing. 5/10.
Mitch Brown: Thought he did well to take that pass on the line from Farah against the Raiders which lead to a length of the field try to spark our comeback... Can't be ALL bad. Anyway, same as Daniela. 5/10.
Tame Tupou: Hasn't played FG yet. N/A.
Arana Taumata: Hasn't played FG yet. N/A.
Junior Moors: I reckon he looks pretty good. He needs to make the most of his opportunities, and he could find a regular spot for himself on the bench. 7/10
Mark Flanagan: Given his level of previous experience, this guy could become very, very good while we've got him. 8/10.
Jason Cayless: A fizzer. Hope he comes good. 4/10.
Liam Fulton: Welcome home, son. 10/10.
Daniel Fitzhenry: Good for depth. Can't understand why he keeps getting game time when there are other players we should be bringing into grade. 5/10.
Lote Tuqiri: All is forgiven. 10/10.

Geoff Daniela: Hasn't had a real chance in FG, N/A
Mitch Brown: Pretty average, done alright, not going to be in our full strength side though, 5/10
Tame Tupou: Hasn't played FG yet, N/A.
Arana Taumata: Hasn't played FG yet, N/A.
Junior Moors: Done well, probably wouldn't crack our top 17 at full strength but has proven himself a more than capable back up player, 7/10
Mark Flanagan: Surprise of the season, the phrase "footballer not athlete" sums him up very well, providing great value for money, 8/10
Jason Cayless: Still having trouble getting up to pace, hopefully he comes good soon, 5/10
Liam Fulton: Playing a lot better than he was when he left the club, 8/10
Daniel Fitzhenry: Like a lot of the others, won't crack our top 17 at full strength. Done alright as a back up player, again, nothing special, 5/10
Lote Tuqiri: Great buy, one of our best players this year 10/10

Wests Tigers 2010
Gains:

Geoff Daniela (Panthers): remains a fringe first grader unable to break into the main squad.
Mitch Brown (Sharks): remains a fringe first grader unable to break into the main squad despite be given a couple of opportunities.
Tame Tupou (Bradford): waste of a position, remains out with indefinite timeframe injury. Hope he can recover and vie for a position but I doubt it. Just hope WT are not paying anything for his signature. ( I had heard $500 plus match payments)
Arana Taumata (Melbourne Storm): suffered injury but is recovering and injuries in key positions seem to be creating an opportunity for him to show his worth.
Liam Ayoub, (Panthers): who?
Junior Moors (Panthers): remains a fringe first grader unable to break into the main squad despite be given a couple of opportunities. At best an interchange player.
Mark Flanagan (Wigan): provides good interchange options and with expected injuries I suspect he will be in the main 13 sooner rather than later.
Jason Cayless (St Helens): faded, jaded shadow of his former self so far. Unless he lifts his game remains a fringe first grader unable to break into the main squad despite be given a couple of opportunities. At best an interchange player.
Liam Fulton (Huddersfield Giants): provides good defense and work rate. A fixture in the 17 squad.
Daniel Fitzhenry (Hull KR): signed as a utility, whilst not setting the world on fire he provides experience and stability but at best an interchange player.
Lote Tuqiri (union): has been great for WT, has blown away my reservations about him. The pick of the newbies.

Losses:
Dean Collis (Sharks),
John Morris (Sharks),
Shannon Gallant (Cowboys),
Peni Tagive (Dragons),
Dene Halatau (Bulldogs),
Daine Laurie (Panthers),
John Skandalis (Retired),
Danny Galea (Canberra Raiders),
Rhys Hanbury, (released)
Rocky Trimarchi (released)
Wayde Dunley (released).

I don’t think any of the players lost for 2010 were essential. I’d have liked to have seen Gallant given a reasonable offer to remain but Beau Ryan has stepped up to the opportunity given to him as fullback making up for the loss of Gallant.

Your thoughts?
Don't forget we also lost Corey Payne - Hooray!

Without a doubt Lote has been our best signing. Fulton, Flanagan valuable additions. Moors seems to be improving.
Brown, Daniela & Fitzhenry are only backups but haven'tset the world on fire.
Hopefully cayless is not a spent force but it certainly seems that way.

With the exception of Halatau and possibly Gallant I'm not sorry to see the others go.

You wouldn't think Johnny Skandalis would be handy right now? He played his heart out last year and would have remained a great asset this year as well..I was really sorry to see he wouldn't go around for one more.

Didn't really consider Skando since he retired but I would have been glad to keep him if he was around for one more year

Fair assessment, but I think AJ can really play a part for us,if he can get fit and take over at half or Fitzy's bench spot.

Forgot a couple
Fulton-4/5
Fitzy-1/5(for rhe limited time he's played)
Fulton has suprised me as I never really rated him,but he's been great.
Lote has also justified the hype I think.
I too hope Taumata gets a chance, and before Lui.

Another signing we have missed is the c**k sucking wanker the world calls a super coach....anyone that plays fitzf**kstik in first grade let alone at first receiver has massive I MEAN massive mental issues.. FMD im so over the sh*t he does to kill a football side.

Wow.

The only position Lazarus can play well in first grade is halfback, he plays fullback.
Beau Ryan, who was playing at a rep quality standard at fullback, is shifted to the wing.
Fitzhenry, who is a waterboy, no more, no less, played at the most important position on the field.

Moltzen was the biggest loss for us, his loss is going to kill our season unless Sheens just puts AJ at half and that is the end of it.

Beau's been good, but rep quality? C'mon, he's taken a few high balls under pressure but he's got a few areas of his game to work on at fullback. He's been good though. I agree he shouldn't be moved...

It's not Moltzen's injury that'll kill us, unless you factor in Lui's injury as a potential saviour. Because of course otherwise Moltzen would still be at fullback...

Ryan's returns and defence have been rep quality. He doesn't have the ball playing ability of most fullbacks, but with Benji + Farah we don't need that. He's done excellent work in his games, saved as many tries as other fullbacks and made as many metres.

Not so sure about ball returns being up to rep standard, but they've been better than Moltzen. He's nothing flash, but he's getting the job done.
