Rava being rubbed out

I know that the suspension has been set in concrete but I'm also talking about the future. They have got to sort this out once and for all. That is, what is essentially NRL's actual technical requirement for front on tackles. Arms first then body which is obvious!
DD you seem still interested in trying to work out how Rava is tackling the wrong way. Ok I can concede that if Rava grabs or touches the opposition player with his hands, then the shoulder connects, then the arms wrap he might have it to NRL satisfaction. He must not break hands or fingers as this is what happens in Oz-tag.
If I can have one of our friends on the forum who attend training nights we might be able to see what Dragons Tackling Practice entails. Having some inside information would help.

Sorry, boardlumps62 I hit the post reply too soon.. A good idea. Maybe if someone can attend a training session and ask the coaching staff to get a few players to show how they do front on tackles and video it.

I know that Rava's case is done and dusted so nothing can be done to change the verdict but as seen in the video posted by Gourley's socks, there are many incidents that didn't result in suspensions and therefore when you see them you wonder why Rava cops it when his tackle is legit going from the learning videos. To me it is just not a dangerous tackle as it does not hit Whiteheads head.

Are you referring to the NSW Blues training video? Isn't Dragon George close to the team?

He's already been found innocent.

Protected species. Such bullshit.
Munster keeps getting off from being suspended. As you say dragon_around he is a protected species which is crap.

If Rava does another suspect tackle which is identical to the previous ones for which he was suspended, then he no doubt will cop it and we lose his services for a longer period. He is not a protected species and he will have to change his tackling style unless someone with a bit of clout tells the NRL that his tackles are legit as per the video clips.

Someone in the club has got to make a stand on this issue.
