Voss was a self righteous clown and I'm glad he is gone. He knows almost as little as Warren. They need a caller that just calls what he sees and leaves the analysis to an expert like Sterlo.

That is so wrong.
As pompous as Voss is, he is a real student of the game.
He comes up with some crazy ideas sometimes but he is always looking at ways of improvement.
The bloke barely has a negative thing to say about RL. Also knows when to be serious and when to take the piss.

Voss was just a victim of the ancient structures and personnel at nein.
They have the mentality that if you haven't played NRL you have no idea (unless you're a breakfast show host).
On the flipside, Fox embrace those people. The close talker is captain, heck even Paul Kent gets a jersey.

Kent played one first grade game for Parra.

He has on many occasions shown he doesn't understand the rules. I know he loves the game but his ideas for improvement would be negatives for the game. Don't get me wrong he is better than Warren but the improvement is not that great.

I think we will end up with the bloke that hosts the Roast (whatever his name is) as the long term caller. Sterlo called a game last year and it was a vast improvement.

I do love the Grumpy Old Men-esque charisma Warren & Gould have though. Its great entertainment. Yesterday they were distracted from the game by a passing plane out of Botany & momentarily forgot they were calling a match, LOL.

Not exclusively a Warren thing, but as someone of Portuguese ancestry, it kills me that people pronounce Isaac De Gois' surname phonetically. The, 's' is silent!

And as someone who has played in the same team as Isaacs brother, that is how they pronounce it. the commentators have it right.

I might be wrong but I thought I heard RABBITS RABBITS RABBITS RABBITS call our glorious CEO "Ray Smith" during the call. Might be wrong.

I saw Ray yesterday grabbing a coffee out back from one of those coffee vans.

Gee weez he looked unwell.

I've heard of "RSL sunburn" (i.e., a red nose and red cheeks from the booze).

But f**k me, his entire face was red. I know I've mentioned before I hope he dies (it was tongue-in-cheek though). But he didn't look good.

Quite sad.

Well done Ray you doyen of rugby league you.

During the Burgess-themed Ch 9 opener to the Manly v Souths game he said Manly won 2 premierships in the 70's

They actually won four.

One of his best in the game, and you can debate whether Matais tackle was bad or not, was that he didn't think it was high because "it was above the adams apple at best"

now I'm no scientist, or an expert on the rules of rugby league, but I have a suspicion that your adams apple resides in your neck, and hitting people in the neck constitutes a high tackle.

No beef with people thinking shots that bounce up are fine, but Warren seems to be of the belief that tackling round the neck is legal.

I still don't understand how people out there can have anything but love for Rabbits. He's a champion, who cares if he gets facts wrong? I don't listen to them for their insight, I watch more league than them and feel comfortable that they can't tell me anything I don't know. I listen to them for entertainment and that's what they provide.

Long live Rabs.

called brenton lawrence a youngster because it was one of the first times he has noticed him in a game. he is 28, played 9 games each of the last 2 seasons for the titans. at 28 he is older than brett stewart, who has played 160+ games.
