I don't think it would be very appealing to tourists. Have to take a whole extra day off just for one game.

Magic Round is fantastic for Brisbane’s economy. Accommodation occupancy rates soar from a few days out - currently at 90% which is the highest non-school holiday/long weekend occupancy in a few years (magic round 2019).

restaurants/bars/retail also get massive upswing.

hope it stays in Brisbane every year - it’s where it should be.

can’t wait for Sunday, but do have some concerns about the ground with all the rain and us being game 7.

Lets move Magic Round to CommBank. One game each day and the others on Richie Benaud Oval. Get on it MON ffs!

I went past Richie benaud oval a few weeks back.

I am pretty sure they have soccer goal posts there instead of the league ones the bastards.

They should send it to Eden Park, Auckland on a yearly rotation basis with brisbane imo once the current contract ends.

And maybe perth can get a magic round at the newish ground over there once every 5 years. There is probably enough league support over there to justify it once every 5 or so years.

So every 5 year cycle you have 2 magic rounds each in Brisbane & Auckland and one in perth.

if they wanted it to be magic, they should be taking the game to all parts of the country.

I've been trying to think about other places it could work too and I don't see it working anywhere else like it does in Brisbane.
