At 10-nil down it could quite have easily turned pear shaped for us so for me the most impressive part of the game was not panicking at that point but the way we just slowly worked for out chance with basic play and good kicks. Excellent stuff.

Unfortunately our defence looked absolutely pedestrian at times with no energy in it at all. The tries before the end of each half being the perfect example.

Overall I agree with John Langs assesment we were patchy but over the last three weeks we have been improving week by week. Gee it will be a tough ask next week against melbourne in melbourne.

Has anyone else noticed that Waterhouse in the past two week has lowered his tackle count but increased his metres gained?

He has made about 20 tackles and 150 metres in each of the past two games. IMO this is much better use of his talent than 35 tackles and 100 metres.

Oh blimey, don't bring me in it. Why am I not surprised that Fibro still had some faculties to manage to turn on the pc at midnight...

It's always good to come away with the points. I thought Lewis did well, I still think Lewis could make that spot his own from next season on. In my opinion he just needs to regain the experience and why not give it to him whilst he can share it being inside Gowie.

PK's hot future tip. Lewis to knock out Anasta and make the No.6 Blue jersey his own. ;-)

I think Lewis is a confidence player. He needs to get his hands on the ball as much as he can. He looks great when he takes the line on. Lewis and Gowie look dangerous every time they run at the line. I know he has played well at 5/8th when he has had to fill in this season, but I still think he is an outside back. He just needs to see a bit more of the ball.

I also agree with Munky. Waterhouse is looking much better in the last couple of weeks. He is running harder and getting his arms free in the tackles. That is when he is at his most dangerous.

Getting picked for City seemed to do both Waterhouse's and Rooney's confidence the world of good. You only look at how their performances have improved since that game to see that.

Grown ups aren't much different to kids. A bit of a rap goes a long long way. Some times you need a bit of a kick in the backside too, to snap you into gear. Eg. Off season dramas.....Gowie now playing very close to the best of his career. As fans, we should speak our minds and not sugar coat things. Rap the players when they go well and call a spade 'a spade' when they are dragging the chain a bit. Democracy is a great thing. We just need to get an even balance between political correctness, having plain old 'balls' and not upsetting grown men that should know that they are in the spotlight, and if they stuff up, they are going to cop a rasberry or two.
