Is Ma'u's form a result of moving into the middle, or something else? Seems odd to me that he's all of a sudden going on great runs after moving infield. Doesn't it maybe suggest the space out wide was restricted by other factors?
Your talking best case scenarios. A coach needs to plan for injuries throughout the year. Several times we had 3 of the 4 playing, (I think at time the other was playing at wenty). The four of them never played together this year. And of course there was something terribly wrong with our form at the start of the year, as proven by the 50 point loss to fellow bottom dwellers Manly. I think at least a couple of people have overstayed their welcome at our club, and the coach might not be one of them.
It depends who’s missing. For a team with a lot of attacking talent they can afford to lose some attacking players. The Warriors were only missing three players from their top 17. We were missing seven.
Hmm but what if mau wore 10?
Id chose team base on offload ability ssnd say pop those balls boys .
It started when he was said to have moved to the middle, but he may in fact have moved back to the edge in that game due to injuries.I think he started finding form on the edge, before he spent significant time in the middle, but I can't really remember.
I've been drinking a bit.
Yeah we were just unlucky, it's due to change. The only bloke who played poorly was Jennings, and he's usually one of our best players. We have been mostly shit this year but in this game we were just very unlucky. We also panicked a bit after conceding that third try, and went right away from the game plan.
One or two signings plus the seven missing first graders from tonight. You don't think nine players would've made a difference? We have the worst wingers in the f**king competition. And when Peni Terepo's your best attacking forward you must be missing some players. But Pou said Parramatta are one maybe two signings away from a premiership side
French with his awesome kicking game? He's a fullback or nothing.Hasn’t French played in the halves in juniors? I can’t see him displacing gutho, maybe he can make the transition like Cronk did.
Or curb stomped.Or kicked to the curb.
He's 17 ffs... plenty of time to work on his kicking.French with his awesome kicking game? He's a fullback or nothing.

LOL it's not just a river in Egypt, the first two times they were down out end they scored. And then after a mountain of possession and a lead the first time they got down our half again they scored.I think our goal line defence is good. Every team concedes some tries. Today there was only one instance of poor team defence, and that was the last try after we gave up. The previous three tries were due to a horrific individual effort (Gennings on Hiku), a horrific bounce, and the Fusitua try at the start was just very good execution, and nobody's fault.
Our goal line attack is the problem, and without attacking forwards like Brown, Williams and Evans we are relying on others for quick play-the-balls and offloads.
Pou in damage control tonight, the club should br paying his penalty rates in his defending of the club. Not a lot of point getting quick play the balls if we don't know what the f**k to do with the ball thereafter.
I'll pay more attention to "Evans the Giant's" offloads next time I'm at Ringrose watching him running around with the likes of Vae and Piki Rogers ffs....
Except with Brown missing we need Ma'u playing his role in the middle. And then on the edge we don't have Williams or Edwards available so we have to pick more defensive forwards in Moeroa and Scott out wide. Moeroa normally spends most of his minutes in the middle tackling. Scott is no longer in our top 17.Yeah ... im just saying when half that plod is out injured then you plod Beau in the middle, not out wide
Terepo tends to make those angled runs and pass the ball when he plays 'lock', as he did when Scott went off and Ma'u switched back to the edge today. Terepo was the one throwing the pass to Ma'u for the try.I dunno that he has to be a battering ram at prop, though. Peni certainly finds time to throw some passes and use his footwork (although to be fair we generally wish he wouldn't lol).
I'm just glad they don't make mistakes, imagine how bad would they be going if they did???The coaching staff had no answers after 4 weeks
