It seemed a bizarrely stupid decision to bring him back to the club. Zero upside and the best possible outcome was that he mightn't do any damage. I understood (and agreed with) several of the Sharp administration's decisions....but this one just stank of childish politics from day one.

It was always a terrible decision, and to think we could off had someone like Brian Smith in the role.

It does seem a ridiculous appointment but that doesn't mean he couldn't have excelled in his role of General Manager of Pool Booking, or whatever he actually did.

We'd blown out our 20's cap and Smith was two good to be on chump change.
