Tony Williams passed that forward to himself. He pulled out of the pass before marketo hit his arm and ended up lobbing it forward over benji to himself. No way that should be a try

In the end, was the bunker able to make a call on it? They can't make a call on fwd passes. I only caught the end of it when the ref was trying to explain it to Widdop......couldn't work out whether it was his opinion or that of the bunker.

Im pretty sure the bunker ruled on it ... they werent judging if it went forward, it clearly did - more how it went forward

Im a bit puzzled how the onfield decision was Try. Surely you would have guessed it illegally was thrown over the defenders head and regained

The rule has always been u can't throw the ball over the oppositions head, and regain it. Not sure it would matter if it was intentional or accidental.

Going by that logic, forward passes should be play on, as who intentionally throws a forward pass??

The game has never been in such a state. Smh

Yeh, I was busy frying off some lamb shanks, and was half-listening half-watching. Looked pretty bizarre.

That decision was just laughable, the refs are getting worse. How the bunker ruled that a try is beyond me.

I remember Hayne did that in 2009 and was ruled no try.
