Luai's was probably one of the better headbutts I've seen on a RL field. If he wasn't wearing headgear if he got Walsh in the right spot he would have dropped him. Most are pussy headbutts, not a genuine Liverpool Kiss.

I headbutted an opposition player when in a ruck while playing RU.

I couldn't believe how effective it was. No one saw a thing. Well, except for the bloody nose and swelling.

I don't think it's a good thing to do though. Throw a punch.

I kind of get why JAC threw a haymaker A La Michael Jennings style. He won't see origin again.

I'd rest yeo..

The rest can play.

Edwards
Too
Critta
Tago
Tiny
Salmon
Luai
Fish
Kenny
Leota
Hosking
Soro
Eiso

Cogger
Smith
Marto
Spencer

Imo salmon was good at 5/8th.

Cogger can cover halves and 9 but ideally Kenny plays 80.. and if we are winning and doing OK give luai a rest and cogger comes on at 7.

The luai at 7 may seem controversial but he's dome it at the wc. He's forms really come on the last 5-6 weeks.. I think him getting more control and continuing to build his confidence before naths back can only be a positive.

I really want to see fish step up... he's been avg this year.. injuries have hurt him but he's lacked his usual impact..

A must win game

If Luai or Cleary were at halfback, you could put just about anyone at six and do alright.

Id gamble on it ,if the opportunity arose

Why is “Cogger can cover 9” a thing? Has he ever even trained at hooker? He certainly didn’t coming through the grades, he was always 7 or a 6.

As I said in my post... Kenny to play 80..

He can cover 9 if something happens. Otherwise there to hopefully give luai a rest.

Your boy soni needs 80 mins in nsw cup...

Before you crack it... I'm a soni fan..yes I think he has what it takes to make the nrl and be a regular fg player to a high standard.. he's never going to be api as you allude to but I think he has the potential to be as good or better than say a wade Egan if his body permits.

Cogger is a good defender, can pass both ways.. can kick.. so yes he can cover 9 if he has to lol.

Clearys never played 9 but could cover there if he had to..

Playing 7 or 6 and going to 9 is a natural trend of so many playmakers.

You hardly ever see it the other way though.

Wade Egan was a half coming through now a 9.

Ben Hunt... I mean perfect example.. he's a 7 but plays put of his skin as a 9 at SOO...

No reason why cogger can't fill in if he has to there.

It's not a knock on your boy Luke.

Horses for courses mate.

We aren't in a position to rest blokes this year or be conservative cause we are well in front of the whole comp.

I'd we want to be top 4 we have to be smart.

What are you talking about??? My comment had nothing to do with Soni Luke, nor is he my Boy. I really don’t care if he’s picked on the bench or if he plays big minutes in Cup.

I share my views on Soni Luke 1 time and two certain posters keep at me about it for a month and all of a sudden he’s my boy?!? I only talk about him because some people can’t seem to move on.

My comment was about Cogger playing 9, because from what I’ve seen of our squad, Salmon would be a better option or Romey.

Lol two certain posters???? Please point out when I've previously mentioned you and soni??

Hahah.. tdm..never once have I.. I know who else you're alluding too.

You asked why is cogger at 9 a thing... I more than covered it mate.. well and truly.

You asked..got told.. it's not an opinion.. just fact.

Wade Egan was a half now a 9.. hunt does his best work at 9 but has always been a 7.. Wallace transitioned to 9.

Its well known and has been for a long time that it's a very plausible process for a 7 to transfer to a 9 and have the same skill set to play there.

And decent defensive 7 can go there and has the same skill set.

The idea you think salmon or luai would be better as a replacement 9 really has me worried.

Luai is a world-class 6. Why would we play him at 9 or have him fill in there??? Lol..fmd.

Salmon sure he could fill in there I have no doubt but coggers a better fit for the role.

Doesn't take a genius to work out your initial comment was aimed at soni. You've been defending him and talking him up on here forever.

That's fine..I rate him to.. but don't give me the luai or Salmon are better option at 9 bs... luai is a top 6.. Salmon is a 2nd rower or back up centre or 6..

Yep there is no reason all 4 on the bench have to get on the field.

What is important this week is to cover the Origin guys

Salmon and Luai have both played hooker at this level, they have both trained at hooker, at this level.

that’s why you would have them play hooker if we got an injury.

There Is not a chance in this world luai moves to hooker if there's an injury.

Luai played there sporadically when maloney was here haha. Done nothing but train and play at 5/8 since.

Salmon would not have done any 9 training here.

Cogger is easily the most logical option to fill in there if need be.

No coach in there right mind is moving a soo half to cover hooker haha.

Again I'd be happy for cogger just to ride the pine this weekend. Kenny more than capable of going 80. Cogger to provide cover for luai and a rest if needed. Kenny gets injured he goes to 9. A back gets injured he goes to 6 and Salmon centre.

Bit Ivan will play him at 7 and luai 6.. he doesn't like moving the structures round.

Salmon has done training at hooker with us.

I’m not suggesting they would move Luia, I’m saying he is a better option as he’s at least played in that position.

How is moving your 6 and one of your best players a better option than cogger who has all the tools to fill in there.

He has a better passing and kicking game than salmon... defence salmon has him covered bit cogger is a solid enough defender.

Salmon would do about 75% of his training at 2nd row. 10% at 5/8 and about 10% at centre.

I bet you my bottom dollar cogger has been doing probs 60% training as a half and the other 40% as a hooker.

The toxic positivity group on here is insufferable.

For the discussion I can see why someone would have faith in Luke improving dramatically considering Ivan's track record with improving individual players. He made Brooks half back of the year and Kenny is looking better and better every week among others. Hopefully what's going on now is Ivan booping Luje on the nose with his magic wand.

Saying that it's hard to imagine Luke being better than Api considering what Api has done the last few years.

I’ll be interested to see how Api comes back from his injury. Took him a while to get going this year; definitely shows signs of slowing down.
