Tigers have had enough Sunday arvo matches this year and Storm have had enough Monday Night matches this year.
Leichhardt doesnt host night matches these days tho, and a sunday at leichhardt will get at least 15 000, possibly pushing 20 000

I'm sorry, but what are you talking about? Leichhardt Oval doesn't host night matches? I believe it was the venue of a Monday Night match last year vs Cowboys (which got over 17,000 ppl there)

Though i'd read somewhere that Leichhardts lighting was no longer up to standard, along with extra costs from the council, making it better to play games there on a Sunday.

Leichhardt Oval - Last home game for Hodgo... against a Sydney rival = 20k!!

The average home crowd at the venue over the last 4 years has been just under 18k.

I hope we manage a Sunday scheduling although even 530 Sat shouldn't affect the crowd figure too much.

Settle down ;-)

Agree, and that's probably exactly the same reason someone asked and then started a thread about it. We all want to plan our weekends, and don't want to wait on TV companies to make a decision before we can.
I'd say the reason the scheduling is delayed is so that all involved can get a better idea of the table and the NRL and telecasters can get more bang for their buck. The best games have to be at the best times.

Yeh - this makes sense.

Pretty sure the Tigers game will be Sunday avo at LO. Worst case scenario Saturday 5:30. Time will tell...

Surely by about 2 or 3 weeks ago they had a good idea of what matches are best played at what time.

This is true. But I think a few of the upsets in recent weeks have changed things a bit. Dragons v Eels could now be a massive game (3 weeks ago Dragons would of been seen as a top 4 finisher - now fighting for the 8).

Can't believe the Eels are still in contention...

Newcastle will get a Sunday for sure. Danny's last game at home, Old Boys game, and v Storm. will be outrageous if it isn't the Sunday game.

True. I'll admit that the Eels are only in contention based on theory. I can't see them winning any more than two of their remaining matches.

We won't be if we don't compete and win tonight. End of story. Even if the mathematics remain possible, if we haven't shown enough heart during the season, the great escape stuff will be well beyond them.

I personally think it sucks that you're on as many points as Newcastle. They've put a lot more heart into their performances this year compared to you and have little to show for it. They deserve victory tonight IMO, but whether they get it is another story.

Naturally, as a Knights supporter, I agree. We have lost a lot of frustrating this ones year and the boys owe the fans another victory.

telling us. we get even 50% of the calls this year and we are competing for top 4 - even with the injuries.
