The back of last year we lost to the Storm and then the Raiders. It was a wake-up call we needed.

Lets hope history repeats again this year.

If the Dolphins lose this week Ivan should just rest everyone so they are fresh for week one of the finals. No point killing ourselves and potentially getting a few injuries over the next two weeks.

Dylan pile on is gonna happen. But the guy has been a killer for half a decade.

I'll back him to bounce back. I reckon Dogs win tonight so he needs to be back on next week.

It’s too late in the year to change our style .But we need to simplify things . A running dummy half even off the bench would help .Anything that changes the look the defence gets. All is not lost but boy we would have the least effective forward pack in the top 6

Silver lining is that this Panthers team is always in the contest.

People need to remember that the senior group have been redlining for 6 straight years.

Almost up every game they play with the opposition almost always bring their best game and performance against Panthers.

That’s bonkers when you think about it.

Their second halves over the last 5 weeks have been below par and there’s been some terribly timed errors in the worst spots on the field that bring opposition back into the contest. It’s easy to say player A, or B should be dropped because they made a couple mistakes but FMD have some perspective.

6 years straight of redlining is a crazy feat. Even if they don’t win the premiership this year, you lads have upskilled Casey, Blaize while also getting the best out of IPap again. Yeah the losses suck, but hey at least you aren’t getting pumped and compete every week.

Just losing some moments that change the games momentum that’s all.

I still think its our comp to lose. We looked much the stronger side for most of the game, as we did last week against our toughest competitors who were giving it everything. It was again untimely silly errors and a bit of freakish luck that got them home. I dont think that much lightning will strike again in the bigger matches this year.

Pretty interesting to see Fogarty choke that hard. They have some extremely talented players but your half missing a basic conversion like that in a big moment doesn't bode well later on from them. Savage would be a big loss for them as well.

Biggest worry for me was Yeo. He didnt look himself. The error was obviously poor but he reacted slowly for the Tapine try and in general didn't have his usual power in the contact. Hopefully the run will do him good.

Shame its looking like the top 4 is out of reach, but I still think we're the best team in the comp. This will the best chance any team has had from outside the 4 imo.

For the second week in a row, the Panthers are the victims of their own demise.

Starts are still elite, but second halves are far from that the last two week. We don't seem to settle back into the grind, momentum slips away, and by the time the starters are back on the field, we're chasing. Errors are killing. NSW fullback again makes errors at the worst possible times.

Holding the insurance policy at 14 works when we’re humming along, but when the team is under pressure it leaves us badly short. An extra big body could’ve made a world of difference tonight. Do we even have one to call on?

All respect to Ivan and Nath, but would it really kill us to just take the gift two every now and then?

Hoping for a Sunday game next week. Sick of my weekends being ruined like this.

Dylan’s a great player but when he makes an unforced error there’s a high chance he will go on to have a stinker He can’t let it go and reset like a lot of great players can, he thinks he can try harder and make up for it and makes another error, after that his rattled. When he has two stinkers on a row there’s a high chance he will have another one next week. He does have a bad moment or bad game, he has a bad month.

I am still confident we win this comp… every team has had to pull it absolutely out of their ass to beat us
Agreed. Let's put it into perspective. They were in last place at one point in the season. They have been narrowly defeated in golden point 2 weeks in a row by teams running 1st and 2nd.

Yes, some dumb shit went on in these games that was totally frustrating but this team was not beaten by better teams, they beat themselves.

When they get it together, and they will, these games will drive them through the finals.

It’s Alamoti time - Jenkins form is over and needs a spell

Edwards man sort your hands - you’re needed

not using the 14 costing us yet again, figure it out coaching staff
If anybody should be dropped for alamoti it should be Tago. Jenkins while he hasn’t been a threat like he was earlier hasn’t done anything particularly wrong to warrant being dropped

100% the favourites. Comps aren't won in August. We play our standard and no one can touch us.

Two weeks in a row though. Similar losses. We had the game wrapped up both times. We need to watch the tape and get our shit together next week.

And Nath Cleary is meant to be the best half in the sport. I know his forwards aren't doing enough but hes been very passive

Haha you know the meltdown is on when Umina bags Cleary.

You know what is coming in a fortnight baby. Get ready for an amazing finals series. I think Penrith v Broncos at Commbank is on the cards.
