I dont really mind who we play in w1. As long as we're in Sydney. I think we have the field covered, including the Roosters and an injury hit Broncos. W2 we'd want to get whoever finishes 4th though.

It'll be tough, but no tougher than 2021 with everyone playing busted.

The disrespect Edwards is copping is off the charts. The blokes gone to war for us the last 5 seasons, a major part of every premiership, he has the runs on the board to have a few bad games.

The fans are hurtin'. Two GP losses is tough to swallow.

He is the safest fullback in the game. By September the tears will dry.

I am pretty much resigned to no 5Peat in ‘25. Would prefer to go down swinging rather than without a whimper though. They need a honesty session or something because too many players are off form.

5 straight grand finals, 4 straight premierships and we lose two games in golden point to the teams coming 1 and 2. I of those losses was controversial. I hope all of you princesses take a concrete pill or three and harden the F#$@ up. I don't like losing either, but some of the sh!t put on the team or individual players is as weak as p!ss.

This is my take on the game.

Penrith didn't play as tough and with the same intensity against the Storm.
D.Edwards costly errors has ruined a top 4 finish. He single handed has cost the last two wins with errors.
Tago had a terrible game. Anytime the ball come near him it made me nervous.

Beating the Storm last week and finishing 4th is a different story. Most likely take on the Raiders. And honestly if played again id back Penrith.

Luton Patea has to be on the bench. He can bust a game open.
Problem now but is you may face the Roosters or a fully fit Brisbane first week and away. Honestly I think both are still extremely dangerous and can make some noise in finals. Ideal would be to play Sharks or Warriors.

It did have me thinking though. Had you stuck into 4th and win last night and the Storm stole 1st and you landed 4th you'd be playing everyone at high intensity and if lost first week may be burnt out.
Now I am thinking it might be beneficial to rest guys the last week and be fresh. If the draw falls favourably you will get the Warriors first week and the Sharks the following. Then a trip to Canberra for a spot in Grand final.
There isn't much between 6 sides imo. But I have the Bulldogs as the team to beat after what I've seen last night. Only fools would write them off. They couldn't go with the Storm early but once they dialed in they cut them to bits. And whilst Hughes will return Pezet is a class replacement.
Patea is starting today in NSW Cup. Some of the criticism of our team is way over the top. Sure Dyl was down a bit but some clown saying he should,nt play FG again is down right RICICULOUS!!

Evidently some fans are still processing what has happened since 2020.

We are one of the greatest sporting organisations of all time. Its not up for debate anymore. If they come back and win it this year it shouldn't be a surprise at all.

If had won the last 2 you'd be playing Dogs for 3rd spot next week.
Right now it looks a tougher road. Capable of beating anyone in finals but in 50/50 style not dominant wins. Just not good enough to win easy anymore.
Hope can do it but highly unlikely from outside top 4

And I hate to say it, but I think the Raiders are the real deal this year.

I think they have more to offer than what they showed last night. Kaeo Weekes and Ethan Strange had me nervous all game.

If they don't get it done this year though, I think they'll slide back fairly fast. Fogarty is a massive loss.
Hmmmm a lot of blood letting when we were a couple of cm from winning. If the Raiders were great, we were great too, errors and all, because that's how close it was.

We lost the game far more than they won it. The issue is that Edwards has pretty much lost 2 games in a row on his own and it doesn't get easier next week under Burton's bombs. If he drops another 2 or 3 do we just stay the course? Guess we don't have any other options.

No blood letting from me.

I know what our level is, even if we haven't reached it this season. Given how we stumbled into last years finals before flicking the switch, I'm not about to write us off.

We have more gears, so do the Raiders.

You must lay the blame at the WHOLE TEAM, not individual players.
Penrith, as a team last night took the foot off the throat with a couple of errors and penalties that let Canberra back into the game.

The Canberra try scored in golden point was a freak hail Mary type of try that you see once every few years.

I'm sure the video session this week will be brutal.

The team picks themselves up to ride again this Thursday night.

We now know we have qualified for the finals. If that question had been asked after round 11 this year, as a group we would have probably laughed.

So onward and upwards.

Too many treating Nathan like a koala bear and protecting his legacy and status.

The real fact that the right edge defence has been poor for two seasons now is Nathan missing tackles and not staying connected 100% of the time.

He shoots up quickly to often which only creates the pressure for Tago and To'o to make the wrong decisions, basically causing an overlap.

This is where we have to improve, we can't afford Nathan to be missing 6 or 7 tackles every game.

Well said. The hand wringing has been almost amusing. It happens every year, by the same folks.
