I purposely typed correlation, and You literally posted "No surprises it’ll be middle defenders who play long minutes in poor defensive sides."
So which is it - if middle defenders play long minutes in both poor and in good defensive sides, then your initial statement (and your subseqnuent post) are meaningless.
Only meaningless because of your inability to put two and two together. In poor defensive sides everyone is more exposed and therefore more likely to attempt one-on-one tackles. Such tackles are more likely to result in a miss, compared to a gang tackle, which is why attackers attempt to isolate defenders. It's not the defence that wants one-on-one contests, because that always benefits the attacker.
Because of this asymmetry, defenders miss more tackles in poor defensive sides. Defenders who play long minutes are going to miss more tackles than if they play short minutes, just as they will have more of every type of accumulation stat (e.g runs, metres, tackles, errors, LBAs, kicks, etc). More minutes means more of all these things, including missed tackles.
Just f**king stop with the attempted gotcha bullshit. You make yourself look petty and stupid, and you give me the opportunity to get on a soapbox. It's not working out well for you.
