Penrith giving the Knights a hiding and perhaps opening the floodgates for other sides to do the same this year.

Although, the Knights have done quite well to restrict the score to only 34-0 with ten to go. However, they look dreadful.

Shaun Lane looked pretty good last week getting a start as an interchange forward. Good people at the Dogs reckon lack of consistency is his biggest flaw, so we'll see if he can back it up tomorrow against his old club.

Anyone would think he'd be up for a blinder against Des and the mutts. If he isn't then it would spell out why he's been released by two NRL clubs thus far, that is he lacks fire.

Manly stepped up a couple of weeks in a row.

So much for the first post, Lane got dumped back to reserves. Some on Manly forum can't believe Brown's playing instead, although that sounds like prejudice against Brown as opposed to any love for Lane.

Just when we thought we might be a chance against Manly this year they hammer out another hiding, as you say.

Fortress Lottoland. That sounds a bit rank though.

Two one-sided games so far this weekend and we've jumped from 15th to 13th on the table without having to do a damn thing! Lazy Warriors indeed.

Great, another indication that we are way, way off the mark - even without taking the field.

At the moment, we look to be in the bottom 4 with Souths, Tigers and the Knights. Early days I know but...

2-2 at half-time last night between two 'attacking' sides, Brisbane and Canberra. The intensity of the defence, it's something of the highest standard.

Call me mad but I'm backing a Tigers upset at Leichhardt.

Yeah maybe, Storm have gone Sydney NZ Melbourne Sydney, big intensity last week v Broncos so I can see it being a game they might struggle to get up for, especially as the Tigers will with Taylor safely gone. Only thing is that Wests' pack is almost as shit as ours, and their powderpuff halves will be getting lots of traffic at them.

Eels looks unfit and a bit demoralised compared to the Sharks tonight. That's out at Homebush too, Cronulla hate playing that far away.

Bugger, the Tigers raced out on pure emotion and had a tired Storm outfit rattled.

14-0, but now 14-16. Can't see the Melbourne pros losing it from here.

*edit - Yep, overrun 22-14. That fired-up first half might be the last bit of serious puff we see from the Tigers this season. They needed to win that one to get something back in the lungs.

Warriors should take note of lessons on pride.

Tigpies had nothing to play for and went down honourably against the best in the comp.
