Two weeks in a row we have been carved up by the opposition's left side edge forward.

We were carved up in the middle. We were ineffective in defence against not just their massive forwards, but their smaller players were able to push through our tackles as well.

I hope the team doesn't look at that scoreline and think it's even remotely acceptable against a top team, because across the 80 minutes that scoreline flattered us in the most.

We need to show more.

If my grandmother had balls she'd be my grandfather.

We blew a chance or two and Corey got held up, but as our record down there indicates, we were always against it. Corey needs to really step up and play accordingly to how he's being paid.

So do his forwards.
Corey wasn't great today, but he wasn't the only one.
A few players need a rocket up them.

If we miss the 8 then massive questions need to be asked. He built this squad (which is weak IMO ),has been here for several years and delivered SFA.

I'd be very surprised if this particularly board even remotely considers removing the coach even if we win the spoon for the next two seasons.

IF we don't make the 8 again will Arthur retain his job? How long can we give him without making finals footy or not winning the comp for that matter.

Ffs, after last years diabolical season we should consider ourselves lucky he's hung around. And you guys have already started 5 weeks in? Smh

The whole point of wingers is that they are great attackers in one-on-one situations. How many hookers would you expect to stop a 100kg winger one-on-one? I reckon Cam Smith might be the only one.

Jake Friend, McCullough, Lichaa, Farah. You know, good defenders who only miss a a couple of tackles a game.

Kaysa missed 7 f**ken tackles this week! That is the same number of missed tackles as last week. He is a f**king liability. And I know you are going to use his line speed as an excuse but if he is rushing up and missing then he he the wrong person for the job.

If that Raiders side bought their A game for 80 minutes instead of 40 minutes, they would have put 50 on us.
Their 'A game' = having 60%+ possession.

They are a great attacking side and a poor defensive side. The idea is to starve them of the ball, and we gave them as much as they wanted in the first half.

How many years would you give him if we keep missing the 8?

But, what if the eels brought their A game?

If both teams bring their A game then you would have a cracking match, with a similar scoreline of what we got today.

We'll only be competitive without coming away with the two points if it's an even contest.

Agree, but twice he ran it and got tackled on 5th, leaving guthbus as the kicker. Then when the game was in the balance he kicked a ball dead by around 15 metres when the game was in the balance. He needs to take his game to the next level to be considered with the other elite players in the nrl.

I agree.
With his lack of size, line speed shouldn't be what he focuses on. He is putting himself in these one on one situations because he is rushing up. It would be ok if he would hit and stick to allow his mates to come in and help him out, but he can't.
His forwards need to follow him and need a screaming session from the coach if they don't...but if it's not happening maybe it would be better for Kaysa to hold back a bit and let the defence come to him so he can keep the line straight. We would give up initial metres, but in the end will bring down the big blokes a bit easier.

Serious question. Who thought we would take the 2 points leading up to this game? A simple Y/N response is suitable but feel free to elaborate. For me, I didn't think we would win mainly based on recent form rather than our poor record in Canberra.

We are spending less on players than most clubs and that won't change any time soon. It's not Arthur's fault.

That's because we were doing so much more tackling than the opposition.
