In recent years they've established a pattern of one good year followed by a poor one. They were good last year. They only sucked early on without Trbojevic and then again in the finals.

Highly doubt it. Penrith where just to fit and fast. Manly could barely get out of their own half.
As good as Sullivan was his kicking game was poor compared to what Nathan would of dished out. Imo they hit 50

What they use been able to do is turn average forwards into fast moving props. Like Sorenson. He is big average yet they've manufactured him to helpfully this super fast forward role.
Our forwards are bigger and more powerfull. Can they play with that line speed ? No way.
Not saying we wouldn't steam roll them. But our forwards are just very different.

Our forwards pack I still feel is superior if control the ball and can slow them down. That's the key when have a bigger powerfull pack playing a faster, fitter and more mobile pack. It comes at a cost. They don't have as physical forwards and if the game is a bit slower I feel our forwards would just steam roll them up the guts.
Thier best two forwards in Yeo and JFH are very different then our best in RCG and Jnr. But they are the guys who set the tone. If you slowed them up with play the balls you go a long way to stopping them from scoring. Most things they do are off the back of them.

Anyone under 40 with knee cartilage would of been a better option. Replace Mahoney with Baldgson is classic Parra.
