Iongi took some pressure kicks tonight - in fact every kick put our back 3 under pressure. Dolphins were way better. We played the whole game from our own half. Our forwards were poor. Terrible.

Penisini on the other hand, he is what 70 games into his career and is going backwards.
We need at least 3 top tier forwards. We need a centre desperately. And as much as Riley smith has the heart of a lion, we need a dummy half who can give us another option in attack, with Riley learning his craft off the bench.

Unless you are thinking we'd just scrape by on his goalkicking? Which doesn't speak to the soft tries, and poor attacking decisions evident against poor opposition over 80mins.

No argument that the forwards are shit, but you’re looking through rose coloured glasses to say that Iongi has been anything other than average all season. I’m still yet to see why some folks here are blowing smoke up his arse so much. He’s well and truly a bottom 3 fullback in the comp at the moment, and I think that was always going to be the case this year. The hope has to be that he comes good, and I truly hope he does, but he’s miles away at the moment.

So you replace him with who? Joash?? Isn’t he a rookie?
Let’s face it, when we needed our senior players to front up they didn’t. Paulo had his worst game in a while. Williams did very little. Our line speed was f**king atrocious. Don’t even get me started on Hopgood and Guymer.
Moses looked a little clunky at times and Brown looks a million dollars 1 minute and $1.50 the next. Riley Smith shouldn’t be playing 80 at this stage of his career.

We just have so many weak points in this post-BA squad at the moment... inexperienced fullback, regressing centre, uninterested five-eighth, don't get me started on the edge forwards, some vanilla players in the middle rotation, and a keen but inexperienced hooker playing too many minutes.

Throw in injuries to our rep quality winger and halfback and our season this year has always been toast from the get go.
