No argument that the forwards are shit, but you’re looking through rose coloured glasses to say that Iongi has been anything other than average all season. I’m still yet to see why some folks here are blowing smoke up his arse so much. He’s well and truly a bottom 3 fullback in the comp at the moment, and I think that was always going to be the case this year. The hope has to be that he comes good, and I truly hope he does, but he’s miles away at the moment.
Mate you’ve been on this for a few weeks. You must watch a different game to me. All good, but I disagree completely

Wow we're already in the spoon position on points differential at the very start of the weekend.

Come and try and take it off us this year, you merkins!

You blokes are kidding about Iongi. He has been good. That missed tackle on Herbie, Gutho would not have come within 20 metres of him.

Iongi took some pressure kicks tonight - in fact every kick put our back 3 under pressure. Dolphins were way better. We played the whole game from our own half. Our forwards were poor. Terrible.
Did we have any forwards in the last 20 minutes? Twice we made 13 meters in an entire set coming off our try line. Were were our leaders out there??

Mate, I’m happy to agree to disagree. I get that he’s very young and new to first grade and he’s got mountains of potential, and I truly hope that long-term he comes good. But I’m not seeing it at the moment. I’m very happy to eat humble pie at some point in the future, but from what we’ve seen so far, I truly don’t see him being a real world beater. And his crucial drop totally f**ked us tonight, and anyone suggesting otherwise is kidding themselves.

Hopgood has been poor since his return from
the back injury but he was an origin player less than 12 months ago. I’m surprised at how quickly people turn.

I think Guymer just played his 8th FG game so he would still be classed as a rookie right?
Along with Iongi (10 games), Kautoga (8), Smith (9) and Samrani (4).
But, in most instances, the coaching staff have chosen this situation, it wasn't thrust upon them.

We've let 3 players with over 200 games of NRL experience leave, and chosen to play another three, with over 175 games, in reserve grade (one of those has chosen he'd rather stay at home and not bother).

In my view, the club has no one to blame but themselves for the current predicament.

The game changed when Penisini dropped the ball from the short kick off in the second half. We were all over the Dolphins before then but we never got momentum back after that for nearly the entire game.
And that’s what happens every week. Penisini is a low grade one dimensional short arse with no speed. Another Rouse Hill Rhino nepo loser. His mate Russell is just as bad. I’d black list that club forever.

And, Moretti doesn't even have 30, Doorey 36, while Hopgood and Russell have 50 or so......

8 players, with only around 200 games between them...
Whilst the coach has 3 players with 175 plus games in reserve grade, and let another 3 with 200 plus games leave, the club has no excuse for the situation.

There’s always going to be growing pains when your side is so full of youth. But there’s plenty of potential there. I’d rather see them given a run than roll out Matto and Bryce again. It’s not like last season was much chop. Can’t wait to have a few of them off the books and let Ryles go into the market.
