There's really no excuses tonight IMO. This is a must win, not for the season, but for the vison.

I think it’s beyond that. The big message preseason was constant learning. For me that means win, lose or draw, we can’t keep making the same mistakes, like staggered kick chase, awful goal line defence contact and ball handling. If Newcastle just outderps us, all that does is paper over the problems

That would be a pretty low act to be fair to name a player who would debut and then not play him. The word early in the week was Matterson would be playing.
