I think he was trying to talk down the impact of losing the two, by saying Origin makes you come back to the club a better player, and he wished he had 8-10 players getting the benefit those two will get? He's like Pappenhausen but seems not to have paps intent. There was 1 play he nearly scored and showed how fast he was. I actually thought he would score

I know he's killing it at 6.but I reallly would like to see Drown at 1. He could be teddy like with a touch of pappenhsusen

We made too many errors but defended them well.
the boys get a well earned 2 week break to rest and refocus.

Because you have to pick 17. It’s the rules. If it’s a tight game and you don’t need them you can leave them on the bench. The NRL won’t dock our points for it.

Looking at the replay, around the 60th-62nd minute, we have Waqa Blake taking a Raiders high kick on the wing and being called for a knock on (actually missed the take and he bobbled it forward into a Raider before reclaiming) closely followed by Opacic making a clean miss on his opposing number close to the line, which would have been a try if not for 4 Eels teammates holding Tinoco upright over the line.

For that passage of play alone, I think we'll see Sivo come on the wing for Waqa, and and Waqa move to centre for Opacic next match. It's only against the Bulldogs, so I think it's a good game to see how we do without Opacic's defence in the line, and whether Sivo can take a high ball with confidence after his time out. If it fails then it shouldn't cost us the game, and we can flip back to Opacic starting the week after against the Roosters.

Matterson giving an intercept at 73mins on our 20min from an unnecessary flick pass was a dud move - very lucky we didn't concede a try in the ensuing set/s, which would have put the game on the line.
