Have Paulo or RCG ever made that many tackles per minute? Some middle forwards play 80 minutes ffs. They do it by pacing themselves. Hopgood isn’t a key attacking player so he doesn’t need to pace himself. He can go nuts for 20 minutes and then sit down.

But in his first 18 minute stint he dropped the ball, gave away a penalty and threw some very poor passes, one resulting in an error. He wasnt the only one but this year, he's has upped his defensive workrate due to his poor discipline.

So whose runs should he have taken, if you’re not happy with the 7 he made? Should he have taken some from Lomax? Should Paulo have made a few more tackles so Hopgood didn’t have to? You don’t understand the game. You should spend less time watching the NFL and more time studying rugby league if you’re going to share your opinion on it.

That stat is a bit misleading for Hopgood due to his role in the side. He actually touched the ball quite a bit

He had 20 receipts of the ball. The highest of our forwards after Walker 28 (he plays same role and Paulo 23 (but he took the most runs of our forwards). For comparison Williams had 15, moretti 13, Matterson 15

Combining Hopgood's 31 tackles and 20 receipts, in 35 mins, show just how hard he worked.

Some may not like Hopgood's performance/form, but him along with Paulo, Williams and Kk, they have started every game this year they have played. So he must be pleasing the people that matter, Ryles and co..
