We're a good team, and you'd expect a good team to get this done.

BUT

- We're notoriously poor favourites
- We're traditionally poor against Souths
- We often don't turn up mentally in the right frame of mind when there isn't alot gained from the result
- There is very little gained on ladder positions by winning
- Nothing lost on ladder positions by losing
- Souths were embarrassed last week and need to bounce back
- We played well last match and have a history this season struggling to back up after a good performance
- We've got an interchange that looks like it belongs in Reserve Grade.
- Souths need the win more
- Latrell returns to provide a difference for Souths.

What could possibly go wrong?

I didn't like our chances, particularly if it was a dry track, but I think this deluge brings us in to it in a big way.... I'd have had Brown instead of Kaufusi or Makatoa on the bench though.... Need old heads and seasoned pros in these conditions IMO

Our bench is below reserve grade standard, imo, and Souths will be chomping at the bit to bounce back - meaning they will play with energy, and intent, and we don't cope well defending against that.

Plus, we haven't beaten Souths since Moses parties the Red Sea...
