Do we keep shitting the bed though? That was the first time this year, for mine. Losing games you're expected to win isn't shittng the bed, it's expecting too much. We've also won a few games we were expected to lose. The problem is our expectations.

Which games did we win that we were expected to lose? I know we lost to the Sea Eagles and Dragons as unbackable favourites. If you think there is a problem with our expectations then would you say we’ve been playing to our ability the last 8 weeks and that our expectations are too high?

Also miss out on unnecessary pain. We can get joy in other areas of life. For instance, after the game last night I got my Dwarven druid up to level 20. It was f**king sweet, and I wasn't relying on anyone else for my happiness. In fact I was completely alone with my computer.

These days I'd need a bit of Viagra to get my Dwarven druid (or anything else) up to anywhere near twenty. Well done.

Ideally you’d make adjustments in both areas. However, seeing as though we pretty much have our starting 13 locked in for next year, there’s not a whole lot we can do on that front. I’d seriously be looking at bringing in another centre though and trying to offload Blake. Same with Sivo. Let him learn the fundamentals of the game somewhere else. Perhaps bring in Johnston and Charlie Staines. I’d also keep an eye on the hooker situation in Melbourne.

As for coaching, the idiots in charge extended BA for no apparent reason recently so not a lot we can do there either, unless we’re prepared to fork out $$$. But a change in the wider coaching team is an absolute must and I don’t think BA should have final say in the appointments.

Alex Johnston would be nice - and far more effective than Sivo. Hell, he could even play fullback and Gutho could take Waqa's place.

The thing that mystifies me most is our edge defence has been diabolical for years and still no improvement? Can anybody clear this up for me?

When you get flogged it's usually the edges where the tries are scored. That's true of every team. Our left edge has scored heaps of tries. What does that say about the right edge defence of our opponents?

They were predictions before a ball had been kicked off. Once we obtained information everyone revised their expectations and if we were performing to those standards then there wouldn’t be like this level of discourse.

The form of RCG, the breakthrough season for Niukore and the difference the addition of Ryan Matterson would make to our side. Maybe Mattersons influence isn’t surprising but not many people would have predicted RCG and Niukore having such huge seasons.
