Where did I say this.

Well you have Gutherson as bottom 5 so that means he is much better than that so if Edwards is "far "better" then i won't you to show us all how great Edwards is and then show examples/comparisons.

It's fine to have opinions but you have facts remember so if they are facts it should be very easy to present those facts.

Show me and i will happily bow down to your superiority in the future.......

Dylan Edward's is a far better defender but his attack isnt nrl level.
Luke's try from dummy half shows Guthersons defenss close to line. He stand far too upright and needs to drive and stay lower when defending close to line.

Gutho was on the other side of the ruck on that play. Mahoney got isolated, If Gutho did anything wrong it was to push Paulo too wide to cover the numbers the Warriors had to their left, it was Evans on the left side of the posts who was lazy or didn't recognise the threat to Mahoney of being isolated ( again ) by Luke.

Mahoney’s goal line defence around the ruck is a real issue and the coaching staff need to sort it out. Teams seem to score at will from marker with Mahoney around the ruck. I’d rather compress when we’re in that position to give him some support and make oppositions spread it to the edges.

The issue is those effort areas from our big boppers, it's not Mahoney. He's a small body and if he's left one on one he's gonna get trampled. We can't hide him in those situations because he's gonna make those tackles and move into marker, but we can get a bigger body or two around him.

Agreed. We need to have the awareness when We’re In this position to compress.

Warriors were penalised for a high shot i believe yesterday greater than 10 metres out and we took a quick tap and they tackled use but the referee didn't sin bin the Warriors player, i was at the game so was wondering what i missed? Below are the reasons why there may not be a quick tap.........we never seem to get them in an advantage situation for us........

Penalty or Free Kick

A Penalty or Free Kick is to be taken in compliance with Section 13 (1) (a) and Section 13 (4) (a) of ‘The Australian Rugby League Laws of the Game and notes on the laws’.

A quick penalty restart is permitted on any infringement against the team not in possession except:

  • » 10 metre penalties

  • » Within 10 metres of the opposition goal line

  • » Penalties resulting from kicks in general play

  • » Where the Referee is required to take any further action

  • » Where the mark has been advanced.

The Referee will give the team the ‘mark’ and all players from the team awarded the penalty must be onside.

I think it was because the referee hadn't yet given us 'the mark'

How about giving away a few penalties rather than allowing the quick play-the-ball? Every other team seems to cope.

I was at the game and impressed with Moses speed he gains from his first 2-3 steps. He really creates space quickly. I was behind the posts and it really stood out how quick he is.

Agree we need work defensively but we will be better with Fergo, Jenko back.

I thought it was a great game.

Which gives me the shits because i see them give the mark pretty quickly to other teams, in fact i see a lot of teams just take the quick tap without there ever appearing to be a mark given.......just not us when in a really good position.

I was particularly confused on that one yesterday though, Warriors think they were hard done by with a correct forward pass, they were f**king lucky during that period not to be down to 12 men......funny how none of these "journalists" mention any of the incidents that went against us.

I must admit though, the most baffling call yesterday was from the Taka try, how in the f**k did they ever need to check ANYTHING other than the grounding? The obstruction that they were asking about was our support player (who was well behind the play) being illegally tackled and they wanted to check it? Un-f**king-believable......that was when i knew we were in for a long day with those inept pricks!

I'm still angry about the refs........and completely baffled how the Warriors think they were hard done by in comparison to what they did to us.

Nah, the Taka try they were checking the professional foul on Dylan Brown. If Taka didn't ground it they were checking the illegal tackle which the ref actually said 'possible professional foul' meaning we would have had a penalty and they may have been sin binned. Taka grounded it so it didn't matter anyway

Further to that, I think the ref actually mentioned to the bunker that the illegal tackle in Drown was in a scoring position so we may have even seen a penalty try considered.

Just on the one-sided penalty count - three of the penalties against the Warriors were for dangerous tackles (2 crushers on Nrown and the dangerous lift on Drown). If they (the Warriors) don't do those things, the refs won't penalise them and the count is 6-2. I can't recall any of the other 6 penalties being harsh or even borderline. Don't infringe, don't get penalised - easy.

Thanks for that, where we were sitting it was really hard to hear the referee and what he was saying sand the video ref was also muffled for that whole review. One less thing for me to be angry about :)

I have to say, they missed a kick off penalty as the Warriors were off-side by a fair amount on one of their kick offs. They missed a few pretty big off-side penalties. The ruck was terrible and they just refused to penalise them.

Considering we are never allowed to dominate a tackle, even when the tackle is in fact dominant we are still told to get off asap, unlike other teams who can peel off as slow as they want. I can probably think of one time where we should have been penalised but since they weren't doing it the other way, why should we have been penalised.

Talking defense. Edward's attack is bottom 3. Guthersons is top 5
