He was at Parra and we won f**k all.I would go and get Matt Cameron out of Penrith.
Whatever it takes bring him back to Parramatta.

No worries. Sounds like you got out just in time lol. cheers.Nah, when I left that place when there were still Toranas/Kingswoods, maybe the first year of Commodores? 1978/79 I guess.
What was his role at Parra ?
He was the coach of the NYC side for 2 seasons I believe. What was his role at Parra ?

Sitting with my daughter and her husband today, after the first try scored against us in the second half, she got up and said “had 4 wisdom teeth taken out on Friday under general anaesthetic and it wasn’t as painful as watching this “ . Don’t think she was alone with similar thoughts , terrible effort from the starting pack and hopeless halves.
Felt sorry for the back 5 , their mistakes were highlighted but f**k me, they got no help or cover (Dylbro walking back after getting beat was obvious, not what we saw last year)
I'm suggesting Matt Cameron might not be the secret sauce to Penrith's recent success.then went to Pnrith ( via the tigers ) and won everything...
do you suggest we dig up Gibson and Massey and probably wheel Fitzy out of his retirement village instead?
Love that team for next week2 blokes can hold their head high..

Now the club should also be doing everything possible to organise a player swap with the Knoughts for space cadet Brown. He's cooked and playing 5/8th for us should be completely ruled out
Someone has to be accountable for the decision to not immediately replace your (1) Captain and a result influencer with over 200 NRL games, and (2) Your Player of the Year and only genuine starting middle forward with over 200 games, and also previously a result influencer.Honestly this talk about CEOs and board members is a poor excuse. Who did we badly miss yesterday? The experience and ball playing of Gutho, the punch of Reg and yes even the finishing of Sivo.
Obviously Mitch is the biggest loss and thank f**k that is temporary.
Bring on JAC, Hawkins, someone for Penisini and maybe even someone for Hopgood.
Need to fix that edge JR.
Hopefully they find their mojo soon, otherwise there is not many wins in this club in 2025.
I did play quite a bit of cricket there til the late 80s.No worries. Sounds like you got out just in time lol. cheers.
I don't think he was brought in for short term results.Someone has to be accountable for the decision to not immediately replace your (1) Captain and a result influencer with over 200 NRL games, and (2) Your Player of the Year and only genuine starting middle forward with over 200 games, and also previously a result influencer.
You can replace your fullback with a bloke who has played 1 NRL game, but you can't replace your Captain with over 200 NRL who directly influences results with a bloke who has played 1 NRL.
You can't expect to be competitive with no genuine starting Front Rowers in your squad.
We went into the season with one result influencer in the entire squad, who will likely miss half the season injured.
We then used the second trial to play 28 blokes in about 50 positions on the day...is it any wonder we lack any kind of confidence and cohesion after two games? We're essentially still treating matches like they're trial games, giving kids a run for experience.
It was a high risk decision that ultimately the Head Coach has to wear. The Head Coach, and the Head Coach alone, is responsible for where we are at present.
I agree with that, but if he can't turn things around and recruit some result influencers for 2026, then he won't be here long enough to see what's he is trying to do.I don't think he was brought in for short term results.
Gal wants to get back into the ring.We need to organise a boxing match for Paulo asap. If we are lucky he gets his clock cleaned and leaves with a medical retirement.

Maybe those two can knock each other out
