I think Junior may have found motivation when Kelma's run for the try showed him up.

Not a lead from the front guy much any more Junior, sadly. Maybe coming off the bench again might lift him to those second half heights more regularly.

Probably would benefit us having a big body like Paulo coming off the bench to run at tired defenders, tbh.

What an extraordinary win!

After 10 minutes into this game I was waiting for another flogging. Momentum swung so many times in this game it was unbelievable. What a crazy, ridiculous game, and a sign that refs control how the games flow these days, not the players. So many of these set restarts I just don't know what they are for...even the ones we received. How can a player be penalised for a hand on the ball when it's happening in every tackle? Hard to know where the game is going at the moment.

Anyway, f**k yeah! We got a win! A good win....against the defending champs...in their own house! I was not expecting this at all. I thought Broncos would give us a touch up and at first it seemed like that's what was going to happen. We hung on and came back which was amaing.

Quite a few players stood up tonight and helped get the win.
Dylan Walker I thought was great. Both our hookers were 100 times better than last week. Tuilagi was a beast in attack. Pezet looked ok at times (got a bit lucky with the Smith try and his own). Iongi was also great, despite being caught out at the back a couple of times.

I'll worry about the 32 points we conceded tomorrow. Tonight I get to celebrate a win!

f**k yeah!!!!!!!

What a great result and a fantastic game to see live in person. Great atmosphere all game, and the best team won - deservedly!

have to laugh at the idiots blowing up deluxe about Pezet midway through the first half, and still at halftime. Calling him useless! He’s 20 games into his career, 2nd game with the club and up against the grand finalists away in his first 2 games.

3 try assists (some stats say 4) 3 line break assists, only one missed tackle, and a try!

I'm going to give two unsung hero's a shout out here.
Sean Russell and Riley Smith
They were both enormous for us tonight - particularly Riley.
Just watch that first half again, even when we were struggling in the first 20 minutes. The blue head gear of Riley's was everywhere.
His defence was crazy and his service out of dummy half was fine.
Sean Russell is just a really solid first grader. It's a shame we have lost him to the Bears.
Riley was shit last week, but so was everyone. Definitely was back to what he does best last night though, he's a good little pest. Losing Russell when he looks to finally be turning into a proper first grader is an extra kick in the balls after the Lomax rubbish, and it's just compounded by the dire state of the rest of our backs.

I said it before the game to mates

Since 1988 no sydney team has beaten the Broncos more in Brisbane then Parra.

Think the old ANZ stadium days in the 90s with garbage sides we knocked them off history books say we won the first game there in 1993 and then drew in 1994.

Then the Brian Smith era. Where we beat them twice in 98

Then again 99,01,02,03,04

6 times in 9 years under Brian Smith no other coach got even close to that.

Then we still beat them and had a winning record between 2007-2012 post Brian Smith.

3 wins (07,10,12) 2 losses

Then the BA era we won in 2014, 2017 (put 52 on them), 20, 21, 22 (53 on them)

Then Jason Ryles 2025 & 2026 is 2 wins from 2 at Suncorp.

Lets face it were the Broncos Bogey side from Sydney when playing them in Brisbane since 1988
I've been to most of them and been very drunk, tonight was the most sober in a long time. I still can't believe we stole that one. Walker Big Sam and Doorey totally changed the game.

On full time i was doing that stupid bronco dance thing to some absolute two headed cretins who would STFU up all night. "0/2 02 02" f**kheads.

I suspect driving around Brisbane today will be like going through Ezra Mam in the defensive line.

Just breezing through with no one around.

Brisbane were the flakiest premiers since the Tigers 2005.

Good luck to them ill take anything at this point to win a premiership.

But the garbage nonsense up north they were on the verge of a Penrith like Dynasty was complete crap.

They have 2 x 35 year old halves and never had any consistency last year until Reece Walsh caught fire like Benji Marshall did and went on a 4-5 week run where they got lucky in all 3 semi finals they won.

It was never sustainable.

They were down by double figures at HT in all those finals and lets be honest they were 2 seconds away from probably having the same fate as Canberra last year.

There current form looks even more horrendous when you consider they have lost 3 games this year and 2 of those sides have had 50 already put on them (Hull KR and Parra).

As always, give us 50% possession and we can compete with the best of them. Top game to watch and ride the roller coaster.

My MOM was Kelma, it was him terrorising the edge that dragged the team back to evens at half time.

Poor JAC looked cooked out there. He’s a trooper.

Broncos stats on kick diffusal was 29%.

One more thing to add …

We were also a lot less dumb without Hopgood and Penisini.
Agree. Like to see Guymer and Moretti included somehow.
Big difference with go forward and Sam and Kelma showed that last night.
Thought Dylan Walker showed great footy smarts towards the end by just tucking it under the arm and running
