Yep they've been stock piling good kids for the last 3yrs and now we are seeing the fruits. Ricky's a good coach and I hope they win the comp this year. Obviously io ly if enrith dont do the 5th or 6th peet or whatever they are on now.

The Raiders will be in grand finals over the next 5 years with what they have built.

Doggies are doing the same along with the Roosters.

So if those three are going to continue to be strong.

And

The Panthers and the Storm should be continual Top 8 sides for the foreseeable future.

And

It's unlikely the Broncos and Sharks shouldn't make the Top 8 most seasons for the foreseeable future.

And

The Souths, Dolphins and Cowboys should all continue to be strong teams for the foreseeable future (althougha couple of those are having poor seasons).

Then I can see us sitting well outside of the Top 8 for quite sometime to come unfortunately.

Thats what I thought but I kind of think Canberra where good then clocked off. Ricky sprayed them at halftime and realy in the 2nd half it was a shut out. Did we even make it beyond halfway?
Once sides turn on the gas we fold. We can compete when good sides are playing poor but not once they are in their groove.

For us to win against average sides we need to give 100% and play close to our best. When we become a good side we will be able to play poorly and still win.And your never a premiership chance untill hit that level. We have a very very long way to go

We are hugely handicapped without Moses. You could see fogerty leading that side around the field masterfully. Cleary the week before as well.

This is what we need to do. Some won't work out but some will.
Much better then signing NSW cup players other sides have passed on or old journeymen and thi king you can polish them. Yes less risk but the reward is usually a plodder who can fill a gap.
Let's go pinch some hot talent. Yes its risky. But it is where we are at and its our time to poach. Look how the Dolphins did it. The dogs are doing it.
To sign expensive players you need to lose expensive players. The Dolphins didn't need to clear any dud contracts when they came into the comp. Their entire cap was free. The Dogs recruited plenty of plodders while they were waiting for overpaid players to get off the books. We are having to do the same.
Heck even Penrith raided us for Blaize and took risks on Alamoti and Jenkins while we f**kced about and got Harper and Samrani. Fix the recruiting.
Iongi is as good as Talagi, and Kautoga and JAC are at least as good as Alamoti and Jenkins.

Only now? We've won a finals match more recently than they have. They haven't won since the week we smashed them in 2022. I hope their 'stock piling' finally works out for them. Hopefully it works out for us too. Reserve grade is coming third with half a dozen under 21s in the team, Flegg is fifth with a bunch of SG Ball players, and obviously that SG Ball team were minor premiers. Imagine how good we're going to be in three years!

I think the Raiders have the platform to be strong for many year it really all depends now if Sanders is able to come in next year and continue to lead the team around..

Roosters and Storm will always be Strong - Rooster just won SG Ball with a pretty decent side which we should be trying to poach from...

Panthers need to start bringing through their next wave soon...

Broncos/Fins will be season by season moving up and down the ladder.

Sharks sooner the NRL move them to Adelaide the better..

Souths/ Cows wont be winning anything for a long time like us at the moment...

They only won that SG Ball Grand Final in extra time after we had a player sent off.

Why would we need to poach their players if we probably have as just a good a team?

Also, what is an example of a player we have signed from the Roosters who was someone that the Roosters wanted to actually keep in the last 30 years?

Winning is great but doesn't mean much when you are looking for future NRL players..

Walkers younger Brother from that team just got signed by another side.. (probably a QLD side and was homesick but still!)

Greig, Doorey, Hands and Lussick aren't has-beens. They never were NRL players. Cartwright played 10 games and Matterson 7, plus Simonsson and Tuilagi both played 4 games.
There's plenty of prior year NRL experience there in that list though. Lane was also dropped but chose to sit on the lounge instead.

Lussick would be on NRL starting 13 money. He left a Super League deal to sign a 2.5 year deal. He's now played almost 150 NRL or Suoer League games.

How many other NSW Cup teams have a bloke being paid $600k Plus (Matterson) to play primarily NSW Cup?

We are discussing the success of the NSW Cup side and its under 21 players, not the lack of value we are getting out of our top 30. That goes without saying.

Doesn't matter who coaches these guys....I don't think anyone can eliminate the stupidity in thier game. Some of the errors are mind boggling. Also, can any of these merkins jump on a loose ball without fumbling it. It's so frustrating.

Every time they make a line break, I tell my wife, watch them f**k this up.....and they always do....

We are simply the stupidest team I've ever witnessed. It's embedded. I don't know how they can fix this. It's these errors that is costing us games. Along with the referees not helping.

Also, did someone from the eels bang Ennis's missus?
Jim’s Mowing and Mon are signing some guns from other reserve grade sides. Good governance

They've built a side that looks capable of winning a title.
We never built that. We are like Sharks
