Coaches may work wonders with him, but at the moment he is more over-hyped than Walsh

Yeah I don't see more than hype

Atm we have a centre doing a job that is younger and looks as promising. Alamoti is also still 19

Not sure he can kick to be 6

Edwards is going no where ( Hence how you blokes are getting Iongi )

Throw in that it adds a client of that scumbag Moses to the club and it is a strange one.

What happens with Laurie next year when everyone in your team is fit?

Does he go bide his time in Cup or play as a 14 which I doubt as you have Toelau.

I would have thought when you resigned Laurie he was the 6 next year.

Laurie would be my 6. Plays eyes up footy and footwork.

We also signed Cole up for 4 years this time last year. So I doubt Talagi was signed to play 6

Maybe Iongi brings some friends over with him

Wiremu 3 weeks if found guilty or 2 with early plea.
Get Ogden or another young bloke in.
Wiremu is done and dusted

We dont have a good record with blokes coming back from long term injury last couple of years..

Most been playing decent/great before the injury, then consistently average/poor when back

Dunster, Russel, Emu, Lane
DBrown though not injured, had a layoff last year, came back no where near in the form prior since, though he tries out of his skin,

Hopefully Hopgood is an exception when he gets back, and Junior does the reverse in form when he restarts..

I do Blaize is a special talent. Unsure what fans expect for a kid who was playing sg ball last year and thrown into the worse side in the NRL. He wouldn't be getting exposed nearly as much in Penriths side. He wouldn't of even been thrown into NRL YET. Never ready physically.
In the off season he will add 5-7kgs and be a very solid kid. He has ball skills and great feet. He isn't a Mclean style centre. He will play 5/8 and I reckon by mid 2026 Parra fans will be a little pissed he isn't here.
I watched a few highlight from his younger days and he is a smart ball player with a good short kicking game. Unsure if has a long as never seen him kick it.

I do like the Ionghi signing. Young with some speed which is what we need.

Laurie is in great form. But Blaize is seen as a long term prospect and I can only see 5/8. He wpuld be costing a min of 400k and probably closer to 450k and no way he was purchased as a back up. Remember Parra Parra did offer him around 500k. Saints and Knights where chasing.
He didn't turn thst down for a few hundred k

If he is a 5/8th why was he centre in SG Ball last year?

He's played centre,5/8 and fullback.
I guess Lynn and Sander where halves and he was injured so when back he slotted into centres.

One of which was the Flegg semi v Penrith. That he played well in and was likely what got us interested.

I am not saying he won't come and play 6 but I don't think he was signed for any position.
Pre season will sort that out
