I never used to like Thursday night games, thought they came around too "early" and I wasn't ready and in weekend mode for footy yet.

Don't know whether it is the past two years of covid/wfh/changes in lifestyle, but now I'm absolutely hanging for Thursday nights to come around and to have a game to watch!

Seems a short turn around for the Sharks, they might be up against it.

How and when did Aussie football turn to shit? Only die hard fans will defend it but it has gone backwards in the last 15yrs. Do we even have one player in any of the top flight leagues in Europe?
Guys like Laziridis where seen as average playing for a weaker EPL side. Now he would be our best. A real shame and that gumby as a coach Arnold ffs.

I feel a big issue was not letting the Mediterranean Descendants run the game. All these first gen immigrants new how to coach and what took to get their kids to international level.

We're a development club. Think of us as a nursery. Be happy to see our ex players win elsewhere. This is what we are about.

Not making it out of Asia isn’t embarrassing as there’s enough good teams that it’s at least competitive.

A lot also has to do with other nations getting better and better. Maybe we haven't gotten that much worse but stalled.

I still feel the A league makes us worse. Talented kids where off to Europe at 15. Now they piss around learning poor techniques and habits in Australia till 18-20 at an important time of development.
