How long do you keep the current coach then?
The desperation to sack him misses the point. He’s not the problem. If we replace him the problem will still be here. If we get a new coach and make the finals next year will it prove Arthur war holding us back? We made the finals under him too.

He may not be THE problem, but he’s certainly PART of the problem.

The end of BA’s tenure must also be the end of MON’s which will naturally see a transition in the playing squad over 2 seasons

this will represent a club wide reset, which is what we need

Dear Stupid People,

If you run an ad blocker for a period of time, our software senses this as some people who think they are smart, turn their ad blocker of, then post, then turn it back on. So in order to deal with this our software makes you post for a unknown amout of time, without running your ad blocker, before it reinstates your priviliges.

This is a recording for those who have not seen this on the other multipe occasions that htis has been posted.

@TheRam doesn't have any add blockers on his Nokia flip phone. You are sadly mistaken.

I do agree with the not changing the coach we need to remove our head of recruitment and head of football.
I’m not sure they’re the problem either. They know which players are better than others. They know at least as much as any of us amateurs. They also know a lot of stuff we don’t, like how much each of our players is on, and how much external players are asking to come to our club. If we had a production line of NRL ready talent coming through the junior pathways we would have a lot more options when it came time to fill out our squad.

But that production line isn’t something that can be bought in an off season. The best youngsters are all already contracted somewhere, and bringing new ones into the system happens four or five years before they are ready for the top 30. Four or five years ago our club was nearly broke due to Covid. We didn’t start spending again until about 2022, and the 18 year olds poached or retained at that time are only turning 20 this year. They killed it last year in SG Ball but they aren’t yet ready to make a difference in the NRL or even reserve grade. For whatever reason they aren’t even going well in Flegg. But next year they’ll be 21. A new crop of SG Ball grads will be 20. Hopefully we keep spending to get the best kids into our system. SG Ball should keep making the finals and eventually the NRL and NSW Cup teams will benefit as more local kids filter into the top 30 and the top 17. Unfortunately it takes patience and sustained spending, from the club if not the fans too. It’s not very exciting, but it could be.

He'll just keep on arguing for argument sake... even though he's not making any sense.

Talk about someone needing a hobby, eh Twiz.
He makes sense based on the last 10 pages of stuff I have read. People like yourself and Legal Eel spend way too much time playing the man.

I just reckon you are off him. If I posted similar things you'd give me a like.

That's a lot to take.

But I'll make it shirt and sweet, they haven't signed anyone of note.

They must really enjoy watching Moneyball though with the signings they have made in the past few seasons...

It's also not like they have been here 1 season for the production line to be so poor, they have had enough time at the club now to have better backups at the club..

You can almost see BA isn't happy with some of the backups that have been signed trying to push them out by having them play RMC.

We have gotten different results every single year. No two seasons have been the same. There’s too many moving parts.
No...the same rubbish exists re: defence.
Fringes, ruck defence and wingers rushing in.
We are clueless inside the opposition 20.
We crumble when we have a chance to consolidate a position on the ladder.
We have failed miserably with recruitment.
It's in many ways rinse repeat without having confidence we will win when expected, we will make the top 4 or 8 when expected....
For the guys running the show who are all ex corporate heavyweights, this would not be acceptable in the corporate world.
Heads would've rolled a long time ago...not sure why it's allowed here..unless the prime objective is to be competitive every year and make a profit. Seems like they are content with that.
If that's the case they need to go and bring in people who are firmly focused on having the right structures with the prime objective of winning the premiership.
Yes you can't win it every year but coincidentally penrith has won 3 in a row and remain a favourite to win it again this year which would make it 4 in a row.
Insanity ladies and gentlemen...insanity

I respectfully disagree.

I've thrown him a like where merited - but with all the circular logic and trolling his fellow fans, it's not too often.

They have signed Dylan Brown plus the following current and former Origin players:

Gutherson
Moses
RCG
Paulo

Every time we retain a player we spend cap space that limits how much we have to pay newcomers. It’s zero sum. If we want to sign more expensive players we need to let some go. It’s hard letting merkins go from a team that keeps making the finals. If we keep missing the finals I’m sure you’ll see some more expensive players replaced by others, just like you see at clubs like Wests and Canterbury.

Or does it just mean the club is happy with the kids finally coming through the system?

How many times have you been banned on here?

You might think you are being reasonable, but it reeks of the same obsessions that your predecessors had.
So replying to someone's (excessive) posts is an obsession... and gee, I've now replied to two of yours in a row? Whatever will the forum pearl clutchers think.
