I am always going to wonder if Brown would have been a much better player if they moved him to fullback a year or two ago. He is obviously talented as an attacking player but being in the halves he focused too much on getting good at defense (and bulking up) and if he had of put all that effort into his running and kicking game who knows the level he may have reached.
He is a great defensive half, but so what?

Iongi is pretty much the only dangerous thing we have in attack, until Moses gets back.

Still has a lot to learn and will develop, but is doing ok thrown in the deep end - behind a couple of different halves, dummy halves, and a Dylan Brown that was strangely disinterested for the first month.

As I say, I hope I’m wrong, and it absolutely is early days, but there’s precious few positives to work with at this point, and I don’t think the board will be so hesitant to take action if they think the coaching is failing next time around.

My point was that he’d been pretty underwhelming thus far this season, particularly defensively. I agree he’s got an enormous amount of potential, but it remains to be seen whether that will ultimately translate to results. I certainly hope it does, but the jury is still out.
