No, declining an option requires the option to exist. Drown exercised his current option but won't be able to activate or decline his future one because he gave it up when he declined the current one.
Dude, you're drunk. You have Brown both exercising (taking up) his current option, and also declining his current option...

Well it's obvious declining to take/giving up your first PO, means the subsequent POs in Brown's contract can't be taken up... but I don't thnk anyone was talking about that.

What we were talking about was that "exercising" and declining/giving up the player option year means not triggering it on the terms that were offered - and instead signing a new contract on new terms (Moses) or a new contract elsewhere (Brown). It seem you agree.

I just disagree that anyone (other than Drown) ‘removed’ a player option from their contract at the behest of the club. Why would they? The club had already taken its benefit in the years prior to the option.

Players that didn't trigger and accept their PO - i.e. taking up the exact terms of those extra year/s that were in their contract at the agreed rate - instead declined or gave up that PO. Simples, regardless of whether it was to sign a new extended contract with us on new terms (Moses, etc), or a new contract with another club on new terms.

You argue a different point each time you contribute to the discussion for some reason, and have simply argued yourself in a circle. Boxing at shadows.
