It’s easy to say that the Knights didn’t throw much at us, and they didn’t, but we didn’t let them. Honestly thought this was a well-coached (gasp) victory. Over the last few seasons, we’ve managed Ponga brilliantly. I remember the game last season where Waqa was constantly in his face as soon as he got the ball, and today was similar.

What I took from today was that when we get back to basics, even without anyone being a superstar, we’re a f**king good footy team. Do the fundamentals right and it brings a glut of possession, and we won’t lose many games where we dominate possession.

And Matterson has been very good the last couple of weeks, I do hope we keep him.

He should be our starting lock. It's easily his best position he's wasted on the bench.

Bryce brings some x factor and needs more game time. If we can get him going then he could be what we need come finals.
That bench would offer some real punch.

If someone in NSW cup steps up then sure put them in. Perhaps Hands, Yates might suprise as the year goes on. They both looks capable.

Yeah he was ok against a very passive defence line, his leg speed is still average IMO. Rodwell would offer more IMO.

Everyone makes errors. Penisini made two today. Drown, Nrown and Moses also made errors. There's no need to single one merkin out.

Really the anger is at the coach, it just gets projected onto the player who does not deserve to be there.

Yep, there was a noticeable effort not to contest the high kicks we sent Ponga's way but rather present a set defensive line, not a staggered line that might come about if 1 or more nuffies contest the bomb. Executed very well and no doubt a blueprint for every other side playing the Knights from here on.... Until they move the space cadet to the halves I guess....
