It’s easy to say that the Knights didn’t throw much at us, and they didn’t, but we didn’t let them. Honestly thought this was a well-coached (gasp) victory. Over the last few seasons, we’ve managed Ponga brilliantly. I remember the game last season where Waqa was constantly in his face as soon as he got the ball, and today was similar.
What I took from today was that when we get back to basics, even without anyone being a superstar, we’re a f**king good footy team. Do the fundamentals right and it brings a glut of possession, and we won’t lose many games where we dominate possession.
And Matterson has been very good the last couple of weeks, I do hope we keep him.
